Tammy Slaton has made major changes, and she’s letting fans in on all of her hard work.
The 1000-lb Sisters star, 38, was spotted by a fan in Shawneetown, Illinois, who shared a video of the encounter on TikTok on Sunday, June 8 — and it’s clear she’s continued to make progress on her health journey. “Got to meet @Amy halterman @Tammy L Slaton @Amanda Halterman Chris and Brittany from @tlc,” the fan captioned the video.
The Instagram account @90dayfianceupdate also shared recent photos of Slaton and noted which recent surgeries she’s undergone in a post also published on Sunday.
“I know this isn’t 90 Day but I watch this show and am invested. anyone else? Tammy Slaton has lost 600-lbs with her recent skin removal surgery she also got her saggy jowl removed with an intense facelift!! She still has one more to go.. but she has made huge strides in the last year!! Congrats @queentammy86,” the account captioned the collage of photos.
Slaton has also shared clips from the TLC series via Instagram that show off her hard work. On May 20, Dr. Eric Smith, who performs bariatric surgeries, added Slaton to an Instagram post that celebrated her achievements and included a clip from the series. “I’ve watched @queentammy86 fight hard for her health and her future. 500+ pounds lost, but what she’s gained—confidence, freedom, and joy—is even greater. Her journey continues on a new season of #1000lbSisters tomorrow at 9/8c,” he wrote.
On the April 15 episode of the TLC series, Slaton told viewers she’s lost 500 pounds and was down to 238 pounds, a significant drop from her heaviest weight of over 700 pounds.
She also compared her weight loss to that of her sister, Amy Slaton, who has lost 176 pounds. “Everyone is telling me I look smaller than Amy,” Tammy mused. “That’s kind of hard to believe. I can’t believe I did that.”
The pair have been trying to lose weight since 2020. Tammy lost 115 pounds before going to a rehab facility in 2022. Later that year, she had gastric bypass surgery. Tammy met her late husband, Caleb Willingham, while at the facility.
“We support each other wholeheartedly,” Tammy exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2023, referring to Willingham. “On our weight loss journeys, when he’s having issues with wanting to eat because he’s bored or because he’s an emotional eater, he comes to me and we talk about the situation.”
She added, “It’s the same for me and I talk to him. We talk about our issues and why we feel this way. We are true partners.”
Caleb died in July 2023 at the age of 40.
