The secret to a long life is mixing the good with the bad, according to one 104-year-old woman.

Elizabeth Milner, who was born in 1921, celebrated her 104th birthday in December, and she marked the occasion at Care UK’s Kentford Manor in Newmarket, Suffolk, where she is a resident.

Joined by loved ones, Milner told the BBC, “Spending the day with my whole family and enjoying a lovely afternoon tea party with plenty of bubbles made it especially memorable.”

When asked by the outlet what has led to her long life, the centenarian explained she believes it could be tied to eating one healthy food and snacking on another.

So what are they? “Veggies and chocolate,” Milner candidly admitted to the BBC.
