What’s Been Happening This Season?
A lot has been happening in the bloody historical drama. The penultimate episode of 1923 shocked fans with the deaths of multiple characters, both heroic and villainous. Jack Dutton was murdered by men working for Banner Creighton. While searching for Teonna Rainwater, U.S. Marshal Kent shot and killed her lover, Pete Plenty Clouds, along with several other Native Americans.
The Marshal showed no remorse for all the death he and his men caused, and his callousness shocked Father Renaud. In response to Marshal Kent’s cruelty, Father Renaud killed him. Renaud also killed Runs His Horse, Teonna’s father, but she managed to fight back and take the life of the priest who’d been chasing her for so long.
Meanwhile, the pregnant Alexandra was left in a perilous position after traveling all night in freezing conditions. With her traveling companions, Hilary (Janet Montgomery) and Paul (Augustus Prew) dead of hypothermia, will she be united with her love, Spencer Dutton?
Speaking of Spencer, the last time we saw him, he was on his way home to Montana, but Donald Whitfield has his sights set on killing the heir to the Dutton ranch.
