Three teens have died and another was critically injured after a car crash in Pennsylvania on Halloween night.
The crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. local time on Friday, Oct. 31, across from the former Fox Acute Center on Bristol Road in Warrington Township, according to a news release shared by the Warrington Township Police Department.
Police said “a very preliminary investigation” suggested that the sedan was traveling eastbound on Bristol Road when the drivers seemingly “lost control” of the vehicle while they “approached a downward crest in the narrow roadway.”
The sedan, identified in a subsequent news release as a Toyota Camry, then apparently crossed into the westbound lane, where an SUV, a Ford Explorer, was traveling when it was hit. Four people were inside the Camry at the time, and just one was in the Explorer.
In an update shared on Saturday, Nov. 1, police said three teens who were in the sedan had died. Among them was the 15-year-old male driver, a 16-year-old male rear-seat passenger, and 18-year-old front-seat passenger Aziz Umidovich Amonov, of Feasterville/Trevose.
The driver has been identified as Elkhan Saparbekov, according to the Bucks County Courier Times. More than $17,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe for his family as of Monday, Nov. 3.
The third victim has been identified as Kozyrev Artem. Blazers Youth Ice Hockey paid tribute to their former player in a post on Facebook.
“He was a wonderful young man, a great teammate, and part of our hockey family,” they said. “Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.”
More than $20,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe for Artem’s family as of the time of publication.
Two of the three victims who died attended Neshaminy High School, according to the Courier Times and CBS affiliate KYW-TV. The 15-year-old was a freshman, and the 18-year-old was a senior.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the students, as well as to everyone in our school community who is mourning the loss,” said officials with Neshaminy High School in a statement, per Patch.com.
School officials did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The fourth teen, who was also in the sedan, is currently being cared for at a hospital in Philadelphia following surgery on Sunday, Nov. 2, according to police. The 14-year-old male is being cared for in the intensive care unit and was previously listed in “extremely critical condition.”
The driver of the SUV involved in the crash, identified by police as a Ford Explorer, was not injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to police.
“This is a heartbreaking and tragic situation,” police said in one of the news releases. “Our hearts and prayers are with the families and friends of those involved during this unimaginable time.”
