While it might not be possible to live just like your favorite celebrities, you can at least recreate some of the ambiance by buying their favorite candles. I did a little research and uncovered 30 of my favorite celebrities’ favorite scented candles. Many of them are available on Amazon, and most of them are under $100. Keep reading for a list of the best ones.
1. Kylie Jenner: Luxury queen Kylie Jenner loves a seasonal candle and the reality star and beauty icon shared a photo of the Sweet Water Decor Hello Fall candle to Instagram to ring in autumn. Because who can resist the scent of nutmeg and cloves?
2. Mindy Kaling: Actor and comedian Mindy Kaling is also a fan of the brand Sweet Water Decor, E! Online reports, though her go-to scent is Warm and Cozy, which smells like orange, cinnamon, and pine.
3. Quinta Brunson: According to The Strategist, actor and comedian Quinta Brunson’s go-to candle is Freres Branchiaux’s This Woman Works.
I do always love a good sandalwood candle…I feel like once I light a candle, that means I’m in for the night… it’s the ritual of it; makes me feel settled.
4. Alicia Keys: Of course the “Girl On Fire” singer loves candles! The NEST Bamboo Candle is on Alicia Keys’ Amazon Finds list. It smells of bamboo, florals, citrus, and green accords — how refreshing!
5. Jimmy Butler: When he isn’t shooting three-pointers or coming up with a hilarious look for media day, NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler likes a more luxurious scent, specifically BYREDO Cotton Poplin Candle.
6. Jennifer Lopez: Even though we won’t be buying them in bulk like J.Lo, we’re dying to try her go-to: Le Labo Santal 26. She “can’t get enough” of the $115 candle and buys 50 a month. Wow.
7. Naomi Watts: With major movies like The Impossible and The Ring under her belt, it comes as no surprise actress Naomi Watts splurges on candles. According to Page Six, her favorite is Kai Skylight, and with a fresh gardenia scent, we totally understand why.
8. Halle Berry: The actress and former model is drawn to Tocca Candela Cleopatra, Page Six reports, thanks to its refreshing scent of cucumber and grapefruit. Yum.
9. Rihanna: Rihanna required the Archipelago Botanicals Black Forest Soy Candle in each of her dressing rooms to help her relax On her Diamonds tour.
10. Shawn White: Olympic snowboarder Shawn White likes the Diptyque Baies Classic Candle, which is both simple and luxurious, because he’s all about a cozy ambiance.
11. Meghan Markle: It turns out the Duchess of Sussex also likes Diptyque, according to Marie Claire. However, her go-to is something a little more floral: Tubereuse.
12. Beyoncé: Yes, even Beyoncé is a Diptyque fan! But she’s crazy in love with the Vanille candle. So excuse us while we purchase 100 of these.
13. Selena Gomez: With a clean beauty brand, it comes as little surprise Selena Gomez also likes a clean-burning candle. According to Real Homes, she prefers Voluspa Mokara, which smells like orchids, white lilies and spring moss… major spa vibes.
14. Amanda Seyfried: Real Homes also reported Mean Girls actress opts for something a little more simple: Yankee Candle Buttercream, particularly in her kitchen. It’ll make your space smell like you’re baking cookies, even when you aren’t.
15. Taylor Swift: Yes, you can make your home smell just like that of the beloved pop-star. Real Homes lists her candle of choice as BYREDO Tree House, which smells like bamboo, pimento, hay and leather.
16. Sandra Lee: In an exclusive interview, the Food Network icon revealed Tom Ford’s F******* Fabulous Candle is one of her go-to gifts. Not only does it smell good, but the name says it all.
17. Ellen Pompeo: After a long day of filming, Ellen Pompeo needs to wind down by burning a candle or two. In an interview with Into the Gloss, she revealed she loves all Martyn Bullard scented candles, and often gives them as gifts.
18. Stassi Schroeder: Although the Vanderpump Rules star is anything but chill, Stassi Schroeder revealed to E! News that she loves giving and receiving candles. And her favorite happens to be Tocca Bianca.
19. Kim Kardashian: Kim is yet another fan of Diptyque. However, her Calabasas home evidently smells of Diptyque Jasmin, a floral, calming scent.
20. Este Haim: The eldest Haim sister home in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood smells like orange and vanilla. The singer and bass player is a big fan of Lulu and Georgia’s The Candle, which is less than $50. Not bad!
21. Shay Mitchell: Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell doesn’t settle for a bad smelling space. Homes & Gardens reports she travels with BYREDO Woods candles in her bag. That’s dedication.
22. Jessica Alba: It’s no shock that Honest Co. co-founder Jessica Alba likes a clean candle, too. She especially enjoys Wax and Witt’s Laundry Boycott.
23. Zoe Saldana: In a July 2024 interview with Homes & Gardens, Saldana revealed her home smells (and dressing room) smells like BYREDO Fleur Fantome. It’s subtle yet refreshing, bringing earthy vibes to an otherwise floral candle.
24. Kyle Richards: The RHOBH star’s Encino home smells like pine, cloves and vanilla. She burns the Nest New York Holiday Candle in her home year-round, calling it the “best scent ever.”
25. Padma Lakshmi: The TV host and cookbook author is also a Diptyque fan, opting for the Rose Geranium Candle. She likes that it isn’t overpowering or cloyingly sweet.
26. Poppy Delevigne: Socialite, actress and model Poppy Delevigne not only loves Jo Malone’s fragrances, but also their candles. Who What Wear reported her home is “overflowing” with Jo Malone Orange Blossom Candles… a good problem.
27. Victoria Beckham: Posh Spice prefers to keep her office and flagship store smelling fresh, like Diptyque Green Figuier. She told Who What Wear she likes that the warm, spicy scent.
28. Zoe Kravitz: When she isn’t burning incense, the star of Big Little Lies and The Batman revealed in a 2015 interview that she a prefers spicier candle scent: specifically Diptyque Ambre.
29. Nina Dobrev: In a 2021 interview, actress Nina Dobrev reveals she prefers burning candles over lighting a fire in the fireplace. And LAFCO Feu de Bois does the trick.
30. Vanessa Hudgens: The former Disney star said in a 2023 interview that Replica By The Fireplace Candle by Maison Margiela is “the perfect fall candle.” But she says she loves the whole line.
