Four people have been injured after a ride unexpectedly collapsed at a fair in western India, according to reports.
On Sunday, Aug. 17, a spinning tower drop ride came crashing to the ground at a fair in Navsari City in Gujarat state, per the Associated Press.
According to the outlet, the four injured included two children and a man and a woman. Authorities said they were rushed to the hospital for treatment, per the outlet.
A Viral Press video captured the moment that the colorful carousel ride was spinning around a steel pillar when suddenly a loud sound was heard and the platform that passengers were strapped onto dropped 50 feet.

According to the AP, local officials said they were investigating if the ride had passed safety checks and secured a permit to operate.

The Bilimora Fire Department and Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Monday, Aug. 18. The Somnath Temple has also been contacted for comment.
