Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, are celebrating one more year of marriage!
The superstar couple tied the knot on April 29, 1989 after first meeting in high school and since then has grown their family four times over. Starting with the birth of their daughter Stephanie in 1993, the couple later welcomed son Jesse in 1995 following by Jake and Romeo in 2002 and 2004 respectively.
Growing up, Bon Jovi and Dorothea kept their kids mostly out of the spotlight and away from red carpets. The siblings haven’t followed their dad to the stage, though they have taken a few steps into the public eye more recently; in 2018, Jesse teamed up with dad to launch Hampton Water, and Jake married Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown in 2024.
As the proud parents celebrate their 36th anniversary, here’s a look back at some throwback photos of the family of six.
Baby Makes Three
Dorothea and Bon Jovi welcomed their first child, Stephanie (seen here getting a kiss from dad in 2010) in 1993.
Daddy’s Little Girl
In honor of Father’s Day in 2021, Bon Jovi shared a compilation of home videos of all three of his children including one shot that shows Stephanie wearing a princess crown as dad holds her close and kisses her cheek.
All Dressed Up
Stephanie was later joined by siblings Jesse, Jake and Romeo. Here, the family — minus Jesse — was all dressed up for a 2013 gala in London.
Brotherly Love
In another frame from the adorable Father’s Day, one of Bon Jovi’s sons, seemingly Jesse, is carrying one of his little brothers and flashing a big happy grin.
Tiny Tot
Here, Bon Jovi is seen bending down to help one of his then-pint-sized kiddos with their coat.
Pile On
Stephanie and her little brother climb on top of dad in this sweet clip of the hands-on parent having some fun with his kids.
Birthday Love
To celebrate her birthday back in 2023, Bon Jovi shared a duo of images of his “sweetest girl” Stephanie along with the message: “Blink your eyes and your babies are all grown up.”
All Together Now
The whole Bongiovi family came together in 2011 for the premiere of New Year’s Eve, supporting dad as he left the stage to try the screen.
