Jenny Slatten and her husband, Sumit Singh, are sharing a health update following her ALS diagnosis.
On Sunday, Aug. 30, the 90 Day Fiancé star, 68, and Singh, 38, posted multiple videos on Instagram, explaining the current situation and how Slatten was doing.
As Singh asked Slatten if she wanted to say something on camera, she replied slowly, “No, I can’t talk.”
Singh then said, “Unfortunately, the ALS is progressing and now it’s starting [to show] more in her talk, like, it’s hard for her to talk now.”

He added that the diagnosis had affected Slatten’s walking and balance.
“I feel like it’s more about Jenny losing strength in her backbone and neck and all … [her] spine, which is making it harder for Jenny to balance while she’s walking or doing anything,” Singh shared in the clip.
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a fatal and progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, according to the Mayo Clinic. The condition, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, leads to muscle weakness, as well as loss of mobility and speech.
The couple — who live in India and have been franchise favorites since they first appeared on The Other Way in 2019 — learned of Slatten’s diagnosis in December 2025, one year after she started experiencing symptoms.
In another recent Instagram video, Singh explained that they’d been hoping to return to America to possibly receive better treatment than they’d likely be able to get in India.
However, his visa is yet to be approved, and the pair are worried that if Slatten does return to the U.S. with somebody else, she might not be able to go back to India if her condition were to worsen.

Singh said that they’re worried that if he doesn’t get the visa, it might mean they would “be apart forever.”
“This is a reason why Jenny [doesn’t] want to go to America without me,” he said in the video.
The pair are asking fans for help to hopefully get somebody like a lawyer or a specialist in immigration who might be able to assist.

Singh mentioned 90 Day Fiancé‘s Armando Niedermeier-Rubio in the video. Rubio made the decision to send his daughter, Hannah, 13, to Arizona in July after she suffered a medical emergency in Mexico.
Despite not being allowed to enter the country at first, Rubio was eventually permitted to go to the U.S. after sharing a post in July asking for help securing an emergency medical travel visa.
Singh is now hoping something similar might happen for him and Slatten, he explained in the Instagram clip, telling fans that he just wanted his wife to “start feeling better” and to hopefully begin treatment.

Slatten and Singh’s latest posts come after they revealed her ALS diagnosis in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in May, ahead of their appearance on season 3 of 90 Day: The Last Resort.
“We’re doing what we can,” Slatten said at the time of supporting each other and navigating their new reality.
Singh told PEOPLE that Slatten’s first symptom appeared in December 2024 when she choked “badly” while drinking water. Soon after, she began to deal with migraines and had trouble swallowing pills.

The couple assumed she’d gotten “some kind of infection” after Slatten continued to experience difficulty swallowing.
Despite medication improving her health slightly, they eventually noticed her speech slowing.
Slatten began avoiding conversations, and often refused to speak entirely. “That’s when we knew something was wrong,” she shared.
While searching for treatments that could help, the couple previously told PEOPLE that they were doing their best to live life to the fullest.
“I don’t want to be treated any different,” Slatten insisted. “Let’s just live our life as we have been while we can.”
