Ioan Gruffudd and Wife Bianca Expecting 1st Baby Together, His 3rd

Ioan Gruffudd and his wife Bianca Wallace are expecting their first child together.

The pair shared the news via Instagram on Sunday, June 15, where Wallace posted a black and white photo of Gruffudd kissing her pregnant belly. “Baby Gruffudd poppin’ out to say hello! 🤍,” she captioned the snapshot.

Wallace and Gruffudd married in April, two years after the actor finalized his divorce from ex-wife Alice Evans. “Mr & Mrs Gruffudd 💘,” Gruffudd, 51, and Wallace, 32, captioned a joint Instagram post on April 25. “Marriage now, wedding later 💐.”

Gruffudd and Wallace have been together since 2021, and got engaged three years later in January 2024. “The most precious thing happened… ❤️💍,” Wallace gushed via Instagram at the time, sharing a snap of her engagement ring. “[Ioan’s proposal] was a super adorable shock 💚💫🤍.”

Gruffudd and Wallace confirmed their relationship in October 2021. “Thank you for making me smile again,” he captioned a pic of the pair on Instagram.

Gruffudd has also supported Wallace following her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. “Look, it’s not an easy illness. I’m more proud of the partners. I feel more sorry to the partners of people with MS because for us you have to face it, you genuinely don’t know what it’s going to be like,” Wallace told The Daily Mail at an MS fundraiser in May 2022. “But when you’ve got an amazing support system, everything’s different, everything changes. I feel very lucky to be with someone so supportive. It’s amazing, I haven’t had this before. To have someone who is understanding is incredible.”

Gruffudd and Evans’ divorce was contentious and marked by allegations of infidelity and drug use. Evans claimed in since-deleted social media posts that Gruffudd had been unfaithful before he filed for divorce. Gruffudd, denying the claims, then obtained a three-year restraining order barring Evans from mentioning him on social media and sharing private correspondence from their daughters Ella and Elsie.

In 2021, Evans also admitted she still loved her ex-husband and hoped things would work out. “Nothing to say excerpt THANK YOU for all the loving and encouraging messages,” Evans, 49, wrote in a note to her Instagram followers on Thursday, February 4. “I never thought this would happen to us. I am still fighting against it, because I love our kids, and I still love him, but something has happened inside his head and whatever it is, I don’t see him coming back to us.”

In June 2023, Ella filed her own temporary restraining order (TRO) against her father and Wallace for “domestic violence prevention.” Per the court documents, Ella claimed that Wallace allegedly “slammed a door” on her head after an argument when they first met. A judge denied the request for a TRO against Wallace but granted one against Gruffudd. Neither Gruffudd nor Wallace ever publicly addressed Ella’s accusations.
