The Goffs are expanding their team.
Jared Goff, 30, and his wife Christen Harper, 32, announced the arrival of their firstborn child on Tuesday, July 15, and uploaded photos of the family of three in a sweet slideshow shared on Instagram.
The couple revealed that they welcomed a daughter in a joint Instagram post. They shared her named, Romy Isabelle Goff, in the caption alongside a heart envelope emoji.
The first photo in the Instagram carousel featured a close-up shot of the newborn baby lying in bed, gently holding on to what appears to be Christen’s index finger while covered in a blanket and wearing a tiny hat with a bow.
The Detroit Lions quarterback is pictured holding his swaddled daughter while looking down at her in another snap. Meanwhile, additional photos show the family of three sitting in bed with Romy on her mother’s lap and Jared leaning over beside them.
Christen expressed her excitement in her Instagram Story shortly after uploading the news to her feed.
“Heart is bursting into a million pieces!!!! ❤️,” she wrote.
All of the photos were in black-and-white, however, the new mom hinted at one of the baby’s characteristics with the song selection she paired with her Instagram Story: “Green Eyes” by Coldplay.
The new mom didn’t disclose any other details, like when exactly the baby was born.
Fellow wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of NFL players flooded the couple’s Instagram comment section with congratulatory words and sweet sentiments.

“Congratulations!!!” penned Olivia Culpo, who recently welcomed her firstborn child with San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Christian McCaffrey.
“My heart 🥹🫶🏼 I love you guys and baby romy 🎀,” wrote Camille Kostek, girlfriend of retired NFL star and four-time Super Bowl champ Rob Gronkowski.
“The most precious gift. So happy for you both! 🤍,” penned Anna Kupp, wife of Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Jared and Christen told PEOPLE exclusively on the NFL Honors red carpet in February that they were expecting their firstborn baby together, a few days ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans.
“I’m looking forward to becoming a dad,” the NFL star told PEOPLE exclusively at the time.
“We’re just excited to enjoy this special time together and just soak up every second,” Harper added.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model also shared with PEOPLE that they were expecting a baby girl, noting that she’d be due at the start of summer.
Goff previously told PEOPLE that he’s “always dreamt” of becoming a dad. Now that “it’s real,” he said he can’t wait. “I know it’ll add a new perspective to life, and it’ll be great.”
The then-expectant father also told PEOPLE that he believed Harper would be the “best mom,” adding, “I can’t wait to watch her be a mom.”
Harper echoed similar sentiments and said, “I know he’s going to be the best, and it’s just gonna be exciting to do this together as a team.”

The NFL couple started dating in 2019 after they met through the private, membership-based dating app, Raya. Three years later, Goff proposed in June 2022, while on a vacation with friends and the pair announced their engagement.
