Kate Cassidy is remembering her late boyfriend, Liam Payne, with a meaningful tattoo.
The influencer, 26, shared a video on Instagram of herself getting a few new piercings and tattoos. Cassidy opted for a heartfelt tribute to the One Direction singer, who died at 31 in October 2024, by getting the same ink as him.
Cassidy chose a small wilted rose, positioned on the back of her right hand below her thumb — the same design Payne had on the left side of his neck. Cassidy captioned the video “🥀,” resembling both tattoos.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, Payne fell multiple stories from his balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and sustained fatal injuries. His official cause of death was ruled as “polytrauma,” or multiple injuries to multiple organs.
This isn’t the first time Cassidy has honored Payne with a tattoo. Two months after his death, the influencer shared a photo of matching angel wings inked on her right index and middle fingers. In the photo, Cassidy was seen hugging her dog Nala, whom she adopted with Payne one month before his death.
The influencer’s angel wings were symbolic of the emotional message she shared two days after Payne’s death, in which she called her late boyfriend an “angel.”
“Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely,” she wrote in October 2024. “I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam.”

Cassidy continues to keep Payne’s memory alive in her day-to-day life. On Aug. 29, which would have been the singer’s 32nd birthday, Cassidy shared a video of herself preparing a birthday cake to celebrate the occasion.
Though she appeared visibly emotional at times during the video, she finished making the cake, blew out a single candle and took a bite.
“Happy birthday Liam, I know you still have the sweetest tooth in heaven,” Cassidy wrote in the caption. “I tried my best here but it’s the thought that counts 🙂enjoy ! ❤️.”
