At the tender age of 5, Wyatt Kelce has already accomplished something her retired football star dad, Jason Kelce, and NFL star uncle, Travis Kelce, never did.
Her Mom, Kylie Kelce, opened up about this realization on the Thursday, Sept. 4 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast when a fan pointed out that Wyatt, who is set to start Kindergarten this fall, managed not to get kicked out of preschool, unlike Jason and Travis.
“We are one for four so far, and I kind of love that, starting off strong,” Kylie, who is also mom to daughters Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 5 months, said of their family’s record for keeping kids in preschool.
“I think Ellie will also achieve Kindergarten without getting kicked out of preschool, can’t say the same for Benny. She is the ringer, and I just don’t have faith that she will not do something diabolical. She will do something that at the very least will put us on a very serious phone call because I know Benny, yikes.”
Jason and Travis’ notorious preschool reputations came up when Kylie appeared on the brothers’ New Heights podcast back in 2023.
At the time, Jason said that he was “trying to keep [his daughters] from getting kicked out of preschool like I was.”
“Oh man, we both got kicked out of preschool,” Travis added.
Jason shared that he managed to get the boot after he and another boy played with sporks at lunchtime.
“For some reason, we were stabbing each other with sporks. We thought it was funny,” he recalled. “And I hit him hard enough in the forehead.”
In the case of Travis, his anger got the better of him during a particularly impressive Checkers winning streak.
“I got kicked out of preschool because during playtime we were playing Checkers and I was winning because I don’t f—— lose at Checkers,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end joked at the time. “I kept winning. I kept winning. And the teacher was like, ‘You know, Travis, you have to share,’ and I was like, ‘That’s not how it rolls.’ Dad always taught us if you win you stay on, winner stays on. And she said, ‘No you have to share,’ and I said, ‘No, I don’t.’ And threw the chair that I was sitting in at her.”
At the time, Kylie was shocked to hear that both Kelce brothers had been kicked out of preschool, with Jason teasing her, “This is what you married into, Ky.”
Back on Not Gonna Lie, Kylie shared that she was worried Wyatt might use unsuitable language while at school.
“The thing I’m most concerned about with Wyatt going to preschool is the phone call I’m going to get when she has taught all of the other kids at her school the words that she’s heard at home,” Kylie quipped, referencing the family’s affinity for curse words.
She went on to reveal that the milestone made her “sad.”
“Wyatt is officially started Kindergarten, which is f—– up,” Kylie said on her Thursday podcast episode. “I’m not feeling great about it. It makes me sad. I swear she just came out so it’s kind of weird to send her to school, like, officially.”
