The identity of the life-sized Labubu walking the red carpet at the 2025 Emmy Awards has been revealed.
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Joella dressed in an elaborate look meant to resemble the viral dolls at the 77th annual ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 14. Along with her full-body furry suit, the star, 25, accessorized with a purse that looked like a Chinese food takeout box.
She shared photos and videos of the outfit and her detailed face makeup on her Instagram, calling it her “Labubu Slaysian Edition.”
According to the Pop Mart website, which sells Labubus, the plush toys are described as being “a devilish but cute monster with pointed ears, a charmingly mischievous smile, and very sharp teeth.”
Joella also posted a side-by-side clip of her and fellow Drag Race alum Kori King, who was dressed as Michael Jackson on the carpet.
Fans took to the comments to react, with many praising them both for their humor.
“at the Emmy’s?! I’m screaming,” one user wrote while another commented, “That is so joella of joella 😍.”
Another fan said, “i love these two 😭”
In a separate post of Joella solo, a follower declared: “She is the moment.”
Both Joella and King were on season 17 of the reality competition series, which was nominated for eight Emmys this year and has won 29 in its years-long run. In 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023, it won the award for Outstanding Reality Competition Program
Drag Race was started in 2009 by the titular RuPaul, who spearheads the massively popular show as a host, judge and producer.
In 2024, he told PEOPLE that his secret to success is, “Don’t take life too seriously.”
His other most valuable piece of advice was something he learned from a drag queen named Lakesha Lucky in the ’80s, when he was getting his professional start as a club performer in Atlanta.
“You’re born naked and the rest is drag,” he said.
