NEED TO KNOW
- Lindsay Arnold was formerly a pro on Dancing with the Stars
- Her younger sister Rylee is competing on the show’s current season
- Arnold defended the show’s judges, pros, and competitors against hateful comments in a new video
Lindsay Arnold may not be competing on this season of Dancing with the Stars, but her heart will always remain with the show.
Two days after the premiere of season 34, Arnold, 31, who last competed on the show in season 30, took to TikTok to defend the current pros and celebrity contestants.
Arnold began her video by explaining that she’s seen many videos giving their “hot take” about Monday’s premiere that are “mean. “They continue to just go on literally trashing the pros, the troupe, the hosts [and] judges,” she said.

“I’ve seen it all. Literally — a video or a comment made about every single pro, about the judges, about the hosts, about the troupe, and it’s making me sick,” she said. “I literally feel sick to my stomach. You understand that these are real people right?”
“This isn’t some made-up TV show and they’re all playing their characters. This is not Conrad, Belly and Jeremiah, where we can just comment on their decisions and their choices and their lives like their just not real people,” she said, referring to the main characters from the hit drama series The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Looking sternly at the camera, Arnold said, “These are real people, who are doing a job that literally none of you could do. That’s what kills me, it’s like ‘my hot take, I think that they didn’t do this good enough.’ Let’s see you do it. Let’s see you do it. You couldn’t.”
Arnold said she is “fired up” because the show has many people she cares about, including her younger sister, Rylee, who is currently paired up with Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying.
“I care about all those people,” said Arnold. “That’s my family. That’s my friends. And I’m coming here to say that literally the job of being a pro is one of the hardest ever.”
The dancer ended her video by expressing that it’s okay to have opinions about the show, but “to actively seek out bashing and trashing on anyone on the show is just a joke if I’m being honest. Be better.”
Arnold captioned her video: “Let’s be better you guys. If you absolutely HAVE to throw shade come throw it at me. I can handle it.”
