Wedding bells will be ringing soon for Zendaya — and one of her Euphoria costars could not be more excited.
Earlier this month, Storm Reid — who played Zendaya’s on-screen younger sister in the first two seasons of the hit HBO series — opened up to E! News about her former castmate’s nuptials to fiancé Tom Holland. When asked about the stars’ wedding at Step Up’s 2025 Inspiration Awards on Sept. 26, Reid, 22, told the outlet, “I want to be a flower girl.”
“I want to make that happen,” Reid added of the role, “but I’m just so excited for her. Whenever that happens, she deserves all the best that the world has to offer.”
At the event, held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, the Euphoria alum also spoke to E! News about how the Challengers star, 29, has impacted her life — and not just in their on-screen roles as sisters Gia and Rue Bennett.
“I don’t really like calling people my mentors. But if I had to say that somebody was my mentor, I would say it’s her,” Reid said of Zendaya. “And not because of the cool things she does. Like, she’s been my inspiration since I was a little girl. Shake It Up was my show. I was tuned in.”
But it’s not strictly a career thing, Reid explained at the L.A. event — “it’s the way that she moves through the world.”
“It’s the way she carries herself,” the actress later added. “Just having confidence and being yourself and being okay with being who you are. She’s always been unapologetically herself, and to see that in close quarters only inspires me to do the same thing.”
“And she actually, genuinely cares about me as a human. It’s not Rue and Gia, it’s Storm and Zendaya,” she told E! News. “I really appreciate her presence and her proximity, and I know that she will always, you know, be my sister.”
This spring, Reid first shared her wish to be a flower girl in Zendaya’s wedding to Holland, 29, a few months after announcing that she wasn’t invited to reprise her role as Gia in Euphoria’s third and final season.
While speaking with PEOPLE at the NAMI Mental Health Gala in Beverly Hills in May, Reid said that while she does not know when the couple’s big day is happening, she “would love to be the flower girl or something.”
“Whenever it happens, I’m so happy for her,” added Reid, “and I’ll be there to support.”
At the May 8 event, Reid also said that Zendaya hasn’t changed as a person since getting engaged to her Spider-Man costar. (A family source confirmed to PEOPLE in January that the couple is engaged, after Zendaya stepped out at the Golden Globe Awards with a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger.)
“She is the most consistent person I know. She is Z, she’s always going to be Z,” Reid told PEOPLE at the gala. “I’m just happy for all of the amazing things that are happening in her life.”

As PEOPLE confirmed Zendaya’s engagement to Holland, a source told PEOPLE that the Uncharted actor has “always been crazy about her.”
“He always knew she was the one. They have something very special,” the insider said, adding that as far as timing goes, the stars “won’t rush a wedding… They are both busy with work projects.”
