Princess Beatrice was among the guests in attendance at a New York wedding last weekend.
The royal, 37, celebrated the marriage of her long-time friend James Green to his husband James Hirschfeld in Long Island on Saturday, Oct. 4. In a photo from the wedding posted to a guest’s Instagram Stories, Beatrice was seen in a sparkly black dress while smiling beside the happy couple.
Beatrice and other guests attended a reception in a large tent with flowers, candles and lanterns. A photo of the wedding menu snapped by a guest and shared on Instagram Stories revealed that attendees dined on mushroom risotto and branzino and were served raspberry pavlova for dessert.
Beatrice and Green have been friends for over 20 years. Back in June 2004, when Beatrice was 16 and Green was 17, the two were photographed sitting together at the Stella Artois tennis championship at London’s Queen’s Club.
The two were snapped smiling and chatting as they took in the semi-final matches at the event that year.
Hirschfeld, Green’s husband, is known as one of the co-founders of the popular online invite company Paperless Post, which he launched with his sister Alexa Hirschfeld in 2009.
The princess recently rang in her 37th birthday on Aug. 8, when her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi shared a sweet tribute to her with an Instagram post featuring a nod to their young family.
“Happy Birthday to my BEAUTIFUL wife. You are the greatest. We love you so much. E,W,S,A xxxx 🩷🎂😍,” the property developer, 41, wrote on Instagram.
The “E” in his caption stood for Edoardo, while the “W,” “S” and “A” were symbols of their children’s first names. Beatrice is stepmother to Edo’s 9-year-old son Christopher Woolf (who goes by the nickname Wolfie), while the couple also shares daughters Sienna, 3, and Athena, 6 months.
