Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne Celebrate 10 Years of Marriage and a ‘Lifetime of Love’

Congratulations are in order for Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne!

The comedian and the actress celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary on Oct. 24, both shared on Instagram. Notaro, 54, and Allynne, 39, tied the knot in 2015 in a ceremony in Notaro’s hometown of Pass Christian, Miss., surrounded by friends and family.

In a tribute to her wife on Instagram, Allynne celebrated her years of marriage with Notaro, and included a snap from their wedding. Allynne and Notaro shared a kiss on a beachside road at dusk, with a brass band serenading them off to the side of the frame.

“10 years ago we got legally married in Mississippi. in a vortex of love. here’s to a lifetime of love and the continued mission to bring light where we can,” Allynne wrote in her post’s caption. “Happy Anniversary Tig! I love you immensely.”

Notaro shared the same snap on her Instagram stories, and wrote over the image, “10 years married to the best one.”

Earlier this year, Notaro and Allynne reflected on their wedding, which took place roughly four months after same-sex marriage was legalized in the United States via the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. Their “traditional big gay Mississippi wedding,” as Allynne called it, was everything they hoped for an more, they told PEOPLE.

“I was not aware of it at the time, but looking back, the fact that we got married in Mississippi and had locals cheering us on and joining in our love feels deeply moving,” Allynne told PEOPLE. “Our love was met with love, and I am very grateful for that.”

“Getting married was never important to me. Then I met Stephanie and I honestly didn’t know how to not be married to her. I love the intertwinedness of it all,” Notaro said of their “ethereal” nuptials.

The couple’s wedding was held at a family member’s home, the Sun Herald reported at the time. Famous guests in attendance included Sarah Silverman, Alicia Silverstone, Lake Bell, Lucy Lawless and Kate Micucci, alongside the couple’s family and friends.

In 2014, the year before she and Allynne tied the knot, Notaro told HuffPost she was thrilled to be in such a special, nurturing relationship.

“I think the one thing I haven’t had is a relationship that fulfilled me and made me excited about being with that person forever, and I have that now, for the first time in my life,” she told the outlet.

Notaro and Allynne share two boys, twins Max and Finn, who they welcomed in June 2016 via surrogate.
