Big Sean is denying that he’s in a new relationship with a woman he was seen on camera with amid speculation that he and Jhené Aiko have parted ways.
On Thursday, Nov. 6, the “I Don’t F— With You” rapper, 37, cleared the air after a social media blog accused him of moving on from the “Stay Ready” singer, also 37, after dating for nearly a decade.
“Damn! Big Sean Spotted With Alleged New Girlfriend After Wasting Jhene Aiko’s Time for 10 Years,” was the headline to an Instagram post shared by No Skips Tea.
The upload contained a snippet of footage from a livestream hosted by 21-year-old YouTuber N3on. In the clip, Big Sean entered a room filled with people and passed an unidentified woman.
The “Mercy” rapper and the woman did not interact with each other — but Big Sean caught wind of the post, and left two comments under the video.
“Yeah unfortunately i never met this person in my life lol,” he wrote.
A second comment from the rapper read, “This girl was standing next to @hitboy who is cut out the video. I dont know why the f— she was so close to me though. I didnt see it at all til i saw this video and can understand the frustrations. Smh 😂. But i dont even know this person at all.”
Big Sean and Aiko met in May 2012 and went on a date to a Lakers game soon after, even though she had a boyfriend at the time. “I didn’t care,” Big Sean said of her being unavailable when the two artists did a joint interview with Flaunt Magazine in 2016.
After years of collaborating, they kissed onstage in 2016, seemingly confirming their relationship.
The pair briefly split in 2019, but rekindled their relationship months later before welcoming their son Noah in November 2022.
Aiko is also a mom to daughter Namiko, whom she shares with her ex, singer O’Ryan.
In August 2024, Big Sean sat down with iHeartRadio’s Charlamange Tha God and shared why he and the “Triggered” singer had not married after 8 years of dating and one child together, while also denying that he and Aiko had “a secret industry marriage.”
“We’ve had our ups and downs, you know what I’m saying? And I think it’s still finding the right navigation through it all,” the “Hate Our Love” artist said. “To me, marriage symbolizes, like, the best relationship.”

He later added, “I would like to, and I don’t like putting our personal business out there like that either, but there’s a lot of work that needs to be done.”
Reps for Big Sean and Aiko did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
