The men had gone kayaking in the Brunswick Canyon area and were expected to return from the trip on the same day.
Many people reported seeing Martin’s body at the time, with authorities finding the remains around 1.7 miles east of the Brunswick Canyon Bridge.
While Martin was described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, White was reportedly 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds with blond hair and green eyes.
White’s next of kin has been contacted regarding the remains, which are yet to be scientifically identified with formal identification set to take place at the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office.
