Hudson Williams is breaking the ice about his runway debut.
On the heels of Heated Rivalry’s success, the actor continued his streak at Milan Men’s Fashion Week, where he walked his first fashion show alongside the brand Dsquared2.
In an interview with Wonderland Magazine conducted by his costar Sophie Nélisse, Williams addressed the negative commentary about his model walk.
“Some people were like, ‘Face card, no walk card.’ I had so much salt. I was trying to [channel] models who do high fashion, the stiff, robot walk. But then Dsquared2 is a fun show where you’re meant to swag it up. And I was like, I could have swagged it up. I could have walked with umph.”
Joking about Nélisse’s statement calling him the “worst walker,” the 24-year-old said modeling felt “daunting,” but in the moment, “I didn’t really feel scared. I was just like, ‘F—.’ All the other guys had heels and platforms. I only had flat boots, because I couldn’t walk.”
He expressed slight regret about having not practiced his strut. “I don’t really get nervous before these things. I only get mad afterwards that I didn’t get nervous. So I was like, ‘F—, I would have practiced if I knew I was going to get shat on that hard.’ And I saw people just go, ‘Who the f— is this guy?’ And I was like…I know. I know.”
Williams — who stars as gay professional hockey player in Heated Rivalry (streaming on HBO Max) — opened Dsquared2’s winter-themed show during Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week. He rocked double denim (fitting for the Canadian star and the Canada-born fashion house).

After his high-fashion debut, Williams continued to make waves alongside his castmate Connor Storrie. Together, they took part in the 2026 Winter Olympics as torchbearers during the Olympic Torch Relay, which weaves through Italy before ending in Milan at the opening ceremony on Feb. 6.
With much fan acclaim, Heated Rivalry wrapped up its first season on Dec. 26. Canadian streaming service Crave has already announced that creator Jacob Tierney will begin working on a second season. The LGBTQ+ drama was adapted from Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series.
Williams and Storrie have been quickly cementing themselves as fashion tastemakers, especially after they attended the 2026 Golden Globes on Jan. 11. The two rocked Giorgio Armani and Saint Laurent respectively and coordinated in black and white.
