Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions is turning up the heat.
PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the culinary competition’s seventh season, which premieres on Food Network on Sunday, March 1.
In the new trailer, Fieri teases “32 world-class chefs going head to head in kitchen combat.” However, he adds, “Nothing could prepare them for the biggest surprise ever.”
“The top seeded chefs in every division are food world icons,” the host continues. “But you won’t see them until the moment they enter the arena for battle.”
Fieri then calls seven “a lucky number,” but advises that it will “take more than luck” to win the fiercely competitive season.

“Every spin of the Randomizer, every dish, every blind judging is make or break,” he notes.
The show’s Randomizer is the device that sets the protein, produce, equipment, cooking style and time for each challenge.
At the end of eight weeks, the season’s champion will win a Tournament of Champions belt and a $150,000 cash prize.
The competitors include Adam Greenberg, Adam Sobel, Britt Rescigno, Bryan Voltaggio, Carlos Anthony, Claudette Zepeda, Dale Talde, David Viana, Jet Tila, Joe Sasto, Jonathon Sawyer, Kaleena Bliss, Karen Akunowicz, Kevin Lee, Lee Anne Wong, Marcel Vigneron, Nini Nguyen, Sara Bradley, Shirley Chun and Tobias Dorzon.
Participants will also include eight winners from Tournament of Champions: The Qualifiers, which airs Feb. 15 and sees 16 chefs battling for the final spots in the main bracket.
Past Tournament of Champions winners Antonia Lofaso, Maneet Chauhan, Mei Lin and Brooke Williamson will serve as judges along with Alex Guarnaschelli, Cat Cora, Curtis Stone, David Chang, Dominique Crenn, Geoffrey Zakarian, Hubert Keller, Judy Joo, Ken Oringer, Marcus Samuelsson, Michelle Bernstein, Nancy Silverton, Rocco DiSpirito, Scott Conant and Susan Feniger.

Fieri’s fans can also catch him on a brand-new competition series, Flavortown Food Fight, premiering March 4.
“Long referred to but never before seen, the mythical and delicious Flavortown will be the setting for this multi-round, culinary competition,” reads a press release shared with PEOPLE.
Each episode will see Fieri welcome three chefs to Flavortown to test their skills.
Competitors will cook in various eateries with names inspired by the celebrity chef’s life, including street food carts, neighborhood spots, fast casual restaurants and fine dining establishments.
The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host is on the mend after he fell down a flight of stairs while filming the new series.
Fieri “slipped down a set of steps and one foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold,” he told Fox News Digital in November. The accident caused a tear in his quad muscles.
“I’m doing better,” he told PEOPLE in January. “It was definitely a trying holiday, but you know what, you get some real appreciation for having the ability to just get up and walk around and do everything you used to.”
Tournament of Champions season 7 premieres Sunday, March 1, at 8 p.m. ET/ PT on Food Network. The Qualifiers premieres Sunday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. ET/ PT, and The Bracket Reveal premieres Sunday, Feb. 22 at 10 p.m. ET/ PT. The finale will air April 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
