Pasta is a hot-commodity in the Olympic Village, according to reports about the dining options. Up to 4,500 meals will be prepared each day at the Milan Village, nearly 4,000 in Cortina and 2,300 in Predazzo for the Olympic athletes, Reuters reported on Feb. 3. The New York Times reported that the head of food and beverage for the Italian Olympic organizing committee Elisabetta Salvadori said that 600 kilograms of pasta (or roughly 1,300 pounds) are served everyday across the three cafeterias.

The International Olympic Committee first revealed the special noodles in October 2025. The limited-edition pasta was described as being produced in Italy and shared to “celebrate the 100-day countdown to the Games,” according to the Olympics website.

Much to the chagrin of sports and noodle enthusiasts, the post revealed that the pasta is not available to purchase. But the organization tapped Michelin-starred Italian chef Carlo Cracco to create a special sauce recipe in honor of the product release that fans could make with their own non-ring-shaped pasta.
