Another Reagan seems to have arrived in Beantown!

CBS dropped the midseason trailer for Boston Blue, featuring a sneak peek at Blue Bloods alum Len Cariou making his debut in the spin-off series.

In the first-look footage of the series' return, Cariou, 86, makes a brief appearance as Henry Reagan — the retired NYPD commissioner and grandfather of Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan.

"So, what do we got," Cariou's Henry asks Danny while apparently discussing a case with Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green) and her mother, DA Mae Silver (Gloria Reuben).

"Now you know where I got it from," Danny tells his new friends in response.

Elsewhere in the teaser, shared on Thursday, Feb. 12, the Boston law enforcement crew can be seen getting their footing back following the shocking events of the show's midseason conclusion. The footage features an explosion, a shoot-outs and a heart-to-heart between Lena and her younger brother, rookie cop Jonah (Marcus Scribner). "The badge that you wear connects us to a family that is much bigger than us," Lena tells him.

Wahlberg, 56, previously announced the return of his on-screen grandfather during a Television Critics Association panel last month. A rep for the series then confirmed the casting news to PEOPLE. Cariou appeared as the recurring character in all 14 seasons of Blue Bloods.

"Grandpa Reagan's going to be showing up and Erin's going to show up again," Wahlberg said during the event, per TVLine, also referring to Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan).

Boston Blue debuted in October and follows Wahlberg's Danny as he swaps cities in an effort to be closer to his son and Boston Police Department rookie, Sean. He then gets to know the Silver law enforcement family, which shares plenty of similarities with his crew back in New York.

A few other names from the Blue Bloods universe have appeared in the spin-off — including Moynahan and Marisa Ramirez, who plays Danny's former partner and love interest, Baez.

Blue Bloods aired its last episode in December 2024, following 14 seasons and over 14 years of the Reagans on television. Casting adjustments in the new series also include Mika Amonsen taking over the role of Danny's son Sean from Blue Bloods alum Andrew Terraciano.

Blue Bloods star Tom Selleck has yet to appear, telling Hour Detroit in November that he didn't "know if I would do Boston Blue." "That’s another show," he said. "I think it’s partly my lot in life to make sure Blue Bloods has its place in television history, but I don’t think it’s my lot in life to keep playing Frank Reagan."

Boston Blue returns to CBS on Feb. 27 at 10 p.m. ET and arrives the next day on Paramount+.
