Universal Studios Hollywood is unveiling the one-of-a-kind ride vehicles that will make up its highly-anticipated Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster.

In a first look at the sleek cars shared by the park on March 4, a collection of four unique ride vehicles all “authentically modeled after fan favorites from the Fast & Furious films” are put on display.

The park’s first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster will see the Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R and Toyota Supra join the classic Dodge Charger for the breathtaking ride. The exciting new coaster will officially make its debut at the Southern California park this summer.

Per the park’s website, the “iconic” Dodge Charger features a sleek black frame and is considered the “ultimate American muscle car.” It’s inspired by the signature car belonging to Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto, that’s featured throughout the film franchise.

Meanwhile, the Mazda RX-7 draws inspiration from Sung Kang’s character Han Seoul-oh and his 1997 model car featuring “19-inch wheels, racing seats, upgraded suspension and custom interior detailing,” Universal says.

The Nissan Skyline GT-R is inspired by Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, and his 2002 blue model known for its unique appearance. The vehicle was “enhanced with extensive performance and styling modifications,” per the park.

Last but certainly not least, the Toyota Supra is based on Brian O’Conner’s orange 1994 car boasting the 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo inline-six engine. According to the park, the vehicle is “recognized as one of the most memorable cars in the film franchise.”

The new coaster will feature “a groundbreaking 360-degree rotation” of each vehicle, which will make riders feel like they’re actually in drifting cars spinning while traveling at speeds of up to 72 mph.

Universal Studios Hollywood first announced the ride in May 2024. A June 2025 press release later revealed the ride will take guests over the park’s signature entrance escalators between the upper and lower parking lots, and begin across from the entrance to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
