Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are ready for spring at their Oklahoma ranch!

The country star, 49, gave his Instagram followers an update on all the exciting changes he and Stefani, 56, have planned for their sprawling Tishomingo property in a March 4 Instagram Reel.

“Hey guys, it’s Blake Shelton coming at you from Oklahoma. Getting close to springtime," he begins. He then turns around and shows off his orange Kubota tractor before continuing, “Man, I gotta show you something.”

The country star walks over to a section of the farm where long, black pieces of tarp can be seen covering various sections of the ground. He explains that he and Stefani decided they're going to do some “professional gardening, farming type stuff” on the property this year.

“Me and my wife — I’ll show y’all, I’ll put a picture of my wife on here,” he continues, as a throwback photo of Stefani with pink hair and braces pops on the screen. “Anyway, me and my wife — her name’s Gwen — we were out here putting this plastic out here yesterday. Just she and I, nobody else.”

He pans over the long pieces of tarp spread out across the land as he continues, “It’s hard work, but we’re going to plant vegetables in here to keep the weeds out.”

As Shelton explains how they’re going to plant tomatoes, peppers and squash and cucumbers in the area, he recalls a funny family tale about growing.

“My stepdad used to always say cucumbers aren’t good for anything but a d–k on a snowman, but we’re going to plant some anyway,” he jokes. “I don’t eat any vegetables in the first place, but it’s fine.”

Moving on to another section of the farm, he then explains what he’s “really excited about” growing on their land soon.

“This is going to be my sweet corn patch this year. I’ve already started working it up a little bit, I’m going to till it a couple more times to get it worked up because spring is almost here, people. Woo!” he exclaims, before giddily singing a jingle: “Well I rolled out the plastic like a big black cobra, now I’m tilling up the ground on my orange Kubota.”

In the caption, Shelton further expressed his excitement over the upcoming changes at his home and tagged his wife’s Instagram handle: “We're doing it.. we're really doing it this year… @gwenstefani and I are stepping it up!!!!”

In April 2024, Stefani opened up about farm life in rural Oklahoma for the spring/summer issue of NYLON Print, and Shelton chimed in to explain how his wife has a special touch when it comes to growing plants.

“Gwen has an incredible sense for planting things: how to grow them and, once it’s growing, how to cultivate it, and when to prune something,” he said at the time. “I like to farm on a big scale, like corn or beans, acres at a time. She concentrates more on patches here and there and ends up farming things a little better than I do.”

He added, “Gwen has her own tractor now, and we’re working toward her one day soon being able to fire it up and go out to do her own thing on it.”
