- Katy Perry tossed her credit card into the Trevi Fountain for “good luck” during a trip to Rome
- Fans speculated the TikTok clip of the moment was posted from a discreet account linked to the singer
- Perry also posted a video of her performing at a private event, where she sang “The One That Got Away”
While many tourists throw spare change into Rome's Trevi Fountain for good fortune, Katy Perry went to the next level and tossed her credit card into the water.
On Sunday, April 19, the singer, 41, posted an Instagram carousel of photos and video clips of her time spent in Italy. "Just Rome'ing around," she captioned the social media post.
In one slide, Perry appeared on camera at the Trevi Fountain dressed in a casual gray hoodie, a cap and glasses as she shouted, “Someone give me a penny.” The performer then referenced one of her songs, adding, “Y'all, I told you in ‘Save as Draft' that I don't f–k with change,” before saying she needed to throw something into the fountain for “good luck.”
The mom of one gently placed her blue credit card in the water and then quickly retrieved it before it could float away.

The clip was originally posted by @urmom_ontour on TikTok, which fans have speculated to be the singer's other account.
One fan in the comments wrote, “Did we [find] katy perry spam account????”
“Great. Now ur credit card is living its best life in the fountain😭,” another person posted, while a third added, “‘Someone give me a penny!' is gonna be stuck in my head 😭.”
The Trevi Fountain, meanwhile, sees millions of visitors every year, with the BBC reporting that the city authorities used to collect around $10,500 a week from people throwing pennies in the water. This money is donated to charity. As of February, the city started charging visitors two euros to see the famed attraction in an effort to regulate the flow of tourists.
Also included in Sunday's post was a video of Perry — who is currently dating Justin Trudeau — dressed in a sparkly bow strapless top and black trousers as she sang her 2010 hit, “The One That Got Away,” at a private show.
Her latest post comes after Ruby Rose alleged in a series of Threads posts on April 12 that the singer sexually assaulted her in an Australian nightclub in her early 20s. In one Threads post, the actress said it "has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly," and "though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes."

In a statement on April 13, a rep for Perry said, "The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies." They added, "Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."
Rose, 40, then wrote on Threads on April 14, that she had “finalized” her reports and was unable to talk about the case while the police investigate.
