Nancy Sinatra does not want President Donald Trump using her late father's music.

The president shared a video of Frank Sinatra — who died in 1998 — performing "My Way" on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, April 18.

After Nancy, 85, saw the post, she took aim at Trump, 79, for using Ol' Blue Eyes' 1969 ballad.

“This is sacrilege,” she wrote in a Saturday, April 18 X post after another user tagged her and wrote, “Omg, @NancySinatra will not be happy about this. Trump goes against everything that Frank stood for. He was a big champion for equality and supported the Civil Rights movement.”

The fan's comments nodded to Trump's brief clip of Frank donning a tuxedo and performing "My Way" at Madison Square Garden in 1974.

Another user asked the "My Boots Are Made for Walkin'" hitmaker if there was anything she could do to stop Trump from using Frank's music, and she replied, “Unfortunately no. The only people who can do something are the publishers”; the song's publishers are Because Music and Primary Wave."

Nancy also reposted a fan comment on Sunday, April 19 that read: “Trump may love Sinatra, but Sinatra did not love Trump.”

"My Way," which was penned by Paul Anka, is an English-language spin of the French song “Comme d'habitude.”

The song was the topic of a documentary narrated by Jane Fonda, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024.

"My Way" was written for Frank ahead of his planned retirement and was intended as a swan song. However, its success convinced Sinatra to abandon the idea of retirement.

The track has since been covered by more than 100 artists, including Dorothy Squires, Elvis Presleyand the Sex Pistols.

PEOPLE has reached out to Nancy and The White House for comment.

Over the years, Nancy has been vocal about her criticism of Trump.

In March, she posted on X, “Not only is trump insane but he is an extreme danger to America and the world.”

Nancy is the latest artist to take aim at the president for using their music without permission.

Several artists, including Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Céline Dion, Bruce Springsteen, Linkin Park, Neil Young and more have shared their frustration over Trump using their music to promote his campaigns.

While some have directly addressed Trump, others' teams and estates have issued formal statements demanding he stop using their catalogs. Some have even threatened — or taken — legal action.
