The Prince and Princess of Wales marked the late monarch's 100th birthday milestone on social media

Kate Middleton and Prince William are marking what would have been Queen Elizabeth's 100th birthday with a collection of pictures, including sweet snaps of their children.
The late Queen was born on April 21, 1926, and on her posthumous centennial, the Prince and Princess of Wales honored her in a new picture tribute shared to social media.
"Remembering Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 100th anniversary of her birth. Inspiring generations through a lifetime of duty," Prince William and Princess Kate's team wrote below the montage of photos on Instagram.
The carousel opened with a studio portrait of then-Princess Elizabeth taken by Cecil Beaton in February 1946, a few months before her 20th birthday.

It rolled to show the Queen with William and Kate at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May 2019, where Kate showed them around the "Back to Nature" garden she designed.
Prince William, 43, was born in the direct line of succession to the throne following his father, now called King Charles, and grew up sharing a special relationship with his grandmother, who helped mold him as a future king.

The next photo showed a young William and his grandmother sharing a laugh on the balcony of Buckingham Palace together in June 2003 at Trooping the Colour, the British Army's celebration of the sovereign's official birthday.

Next up was a balcony scene from Trooping the Colour in June 2022, showing the Queen with Princess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Holding her cane, Queen Elizabeth leaned to speak with Louis during the royal family's appearance on the palace balcony. Trooping the Colour was an extra special festivity in 2022 as it kicked off four days of celebrations commemorating the Queen's record-breaking 70-year reign, and William and Kate later joked about Louis' exuberance through the weekend.

The montage closed with a palace portrait released for the Queen's 90th birthday in April 2016, showing the iconic monarch with the next three generations of royal heirs — the future King Charles, Prince William and Prince George.
Hello! magazine reported that the snap was captured in the White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace in the summer of 2015 by Ranald Mackenhie. Prince George, then around age 2, stood on foam blocks for a height boost and sweetly held his father William's hand.
