Emily Blunt hails from a talented family.
The Golden Globe winner was born on Feb. 23, 1983, in London as the second of four children, joining older sister Felicity Blunt and parents Oliver and Joanna Blunt. They were followed around a decade later by younger brother Sebastian, who is also an actor, and youngest sister Susannah.
Most recently, Emily reprised her role as Emily Charlton in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which hit theaters on May 1. But the franchise is personal to her and her family: Felicity, who is a literary agent based in the U.K., went on to marry Emily's costar, Stanley Tucci, after first meeting at the original film's premiere.
The sisters remain very close. In a July 2023 interview with The Guardian, Felicity called her "the best person I know."
“She's a good friend. She's a brilliant actress. She's loving," Felicity said of her younger sister. "She doesn't have anything to prove."

They grew up in London

Emily and her siblings grew up in Roehampton, a small borough located on the outskirts of London.
Their father, Oliver, is a lawyer, overseeing murder, terrorism, drug and fraud cases at Furnival Chambers in London. Their mother, Joanna, previously worked as an actress and English teacher.
Felicity is married to Stanley Tucci

Felicity has been married to Tucci since 2012. The couple share two children: son Matteo Oliver, born Jan. 25, 2015, and daughter Emilia Giovanna, born April 19, 2018. Felicity is also a stepmom to Tucci's three kids from his first marriage: fraternal twins Nicolo and Isabel, and a daughter named Camilla.
When the pair first met at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada, Tucci was married to his first wife, Kate Tucci, who died three years later of breast cancer.
"[Felicity] and Kate talked at the premiere that night and I have a photo of them together, which is so odd," he told Marc Maron in February 2021.
In 2010, Tucci and Felicity crossed paths again at Emily's wedding to John Krasinski in Lake Como, Italy. They started dating shortly after and married in 2012.
Emily couldn't approve more of her brother-in-law, whom she "absolutely worship[s]."
"He's an all-around Renaissance man who knows the way to everyone's hearts. And it's through having a damn good time," she told PEOPLE in March 2022. "He's frighteningly bright, quick to laugh, loves to be laughed at, charismatic, warm and energetic."
Felicity is a literary agent

Felicity joined the U.K. talent agency Curtis Brown in 2005. Some of her clients include Danielle Steel, Ann Patchett and Gillian McAllister.
“My fiction tastes are broad but are unified by my desire to represent unique stories and smart voices. What I want is to feel passionate about the narrative and believe absolutely in the world an author has crafted,” she said in her professional bio.
Felicity and Tucci have collaborated together on various projects. They co-authored a cookbook called The Tucci Table: Cooking With Family and Friends, which was published in 2014. She has also made cameos on Tucci's CNN food show, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.
Sebastian is an actor

Like his older sister, Sebastian is an actor. He starred alongside Emily in the 2014 science fiction film Edge of Tomorrow, as well as 2021's Jungle Cruise.
Sebastian also portrayed Prince Edward in season 6 of The Crown and briefly worked with Krasinski on the Prime Video series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.
Susannah is a veterinarian

The youngest of her siblings, Susannah stays out of the limelight.
However, in a February 2020 interview with Harper's Bazaar, Emily revealed that her sister “Suzie” is not only a talented veterinarian, but also “an incredible opera singer.” The duo sang at Felicity and Tucci's wedding.
Emily and Felicity have a close bond

Emily and Felicity share a close relationship. While speaking with The Guardian in July 2023, Felicity said that their proximity in age strengthened their sisterly bond as teenagers.
“We were fellow travelers through all the big moments,” Felicity said. “New school, puberty, first boyfriends, no boyfriends, first jobs, no money, first hangovers.”
For Emily, Felicity continues to be "such a vital presence" in her life, calling her "a source of such comfort and ease.”
