Ryan Reynolds is sharing his love for Blake Lively on Mother's Day.

In an Instagram Stories post to mark the holiday on Sunday, May 10, Reynolds, 49, wrote that his wife is "kind" and "fearless" — just six days after she reached a settlement with Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios in their It Ends with Us legal dispute.

"I appreciate this mother beyond measure," Reynolds wrote of the Gossip Girl alum, 38, alongside photos of the pair lounging on chairs next to each other and wearing ponchos as they posed near a waterfall. "She is kind. She is fearless. She's the absolute love of my life and to our four little kids, she's the life of their love."

The couple, who tied the knot in September 2012, share four kids: James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Olin, 3.

Lively's most recent public appearance came on Monday, May 4, when she made a return to the Met Gala wearing an archival Atelier Versace gown from spring 2006, which she accessorized with custom Lorraine Schwartz jewelry — and a handbag that included artwork by her kids.

"We were trying to find a piece of famous, iconic art to put on and make it look like it was in a frame. And then I said, ‘Would you, actually, if you're gonna make it custom, would you do my kids?' " she told Vogue on the red carpet.

"My kids each painted a watercolor painting. Each of my four kids did this, so I have them with me, because I'm shy too, so I just like to have the kids with me. Isn't that special?” she continued, joking, "I probably could have fit them under my dress, to be honest. I should have snuck them under there."

Though Reynolds and Lively have opted to keep their children out of the spotlight for the most part, the Simple Favor actress shared a rare photo of one of their kids in a carousel on Instagram in March.

In the blurry photo, Lively captured what appeared to be Reynolds holding the child on his shoulders during a trip to England.

"🇬🇧 🤍 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 so grateful for the best week with my loved ones," Lively wrote in her caption.

The legal battle between Lively and her It Ends with Us director-costar Baldoni, 42, began in December 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit against him, alleging that he subjected her to sexual harassment and that he and the other defendants orchestrated a retaliatory smear campaign “to destroy” her reputation in connection with the Colleen Hoover adaptation.

Baldoni later filed a $400 million countersuit against the Gossip Girl actress and Reynolds, alleging defamation and breach of contract. His case was dismissed in June 2025.

Legal teams for Lively and Baldoni confirmed on May 4 that they had reached an agreement ending the high-profile dispute tied to the film, just two weeks before the case was set to go to trial in New York City.

The settlement agreement, reviewed by PEOPLE, declared that Lively can still pursue legal fees and damages against Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties, whose $400 million defamation countersuit against Lively was dismissed by a judge in June.
