As someone who overheats easily, shorts and I are the best of friends in summer. However, my collection could use a definite refresh. That’s where this Billabong pair, which I could slip on and off at the pool quickly, comes into play. I chronically overpack, so I’m trying to be better by relying on easily interchangeable capsule wardrobe pieces. This Vince Camuto shirt, for example, has a breathable linen-blend fabric that I can wear on hot days, as well as a modest neckline that makes it appropriate for churches, offices, and more.

The sun is out — and so are my toes! What I mean by that is I’m so stoked to break out flip-flops and dressy wedges.
