Kate Hudson is ten toes down when it comes to summer’s buzziest denim trend: white jeans.
Earlier this week, the Running Point star, 47, was spotted out and about in Los Angeles wearing an ultra-baggy pair in the hue that everyone is wearing this season. How do I know that? Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow, and now Hudson, (i.e. some of Hollywood’s coolest moms) have signed off on them.
Not a fan? Neither was I — until I realized that they’re even more foolproof than a pair of good ole blue jeans. They quite literally go with everything I style them with, and they always make my outfits look so crisp and clean. So if I were you, I’d shop the similar pairs below.

As much as I envy Hudson’s low-rise pair, I will be sticking with something that has a little more coverage, like this high-waisted pair that are so comfortable they “don't feel like jeans,” according to one shopper. They’re superb for long travel days since they have a roomy fit and zipper fly — in other words, I won’t be fumbling to button them up in tiny bathroom stalls. Also, unlike some other jeans I own, they’re machine-washable, so I can clean them whenever I get grass, coffee, or any other sort of stain on them.

Just like how blue jeans can have both light and dark washes, white jeans come in pure white, off-white, and (cough cough) cream options. This Levi’s pair is particularly cool because of its adjusters that allow you to cinch the fit without a belt, a trip to the tailor’s, or worse, a try-on session that lasts longer than you’d like. They’re also beloved by thousands of shoppers, which is usually a solid tell.
Grapent Straight-Leg Jeans with Raw Hems

$60 $42 at Amazon
If baggy jeans just aren’t your style, something skinnier like this straight-leg pair will be more up your alley. Despite their streamlined look, they still have some wiggle room and “a little bit of stretch,” according to one shopper, so they won’t tightly squeeze your legs all day long.
You can style them in lots of fun ways, too. Wear them with a white T-shirt and a funky jacket for a weekday dinner, or dress them up with a pair of heels and a blazer for a casual Friday at work — both of which are style combinations I repeat all the time.
Thanks to Kate Hudson, I’m weeding out all my blue jeans. If you are too, keep scrolling to shop more options inspired by the star.
