NEED TO KNOW
- Kate Gosselin, Jon Gosselin and their eight children were the stars of the TLC series Jon & Kate Plus 8
- The reality show premiered in 2007, and aired its final season — as Kate Plus 8 — in 2017
- Since the series ended, the Gosselin kids have gone on to graduate from their respective high schools and colleges
Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin became one of TV's most famous families when their reality show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, debuted in 2007.
The series introduced the world to the couple's eight children: twin girls Mady and Cara and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. The TLC sensation showcased the Gosselin family's unique dynamics before, during and after Jon and Kate's divorce in 2009 — and through its final season in 2017.
When Kate filed for divorce following cheating allegations surrounding Jon in 2008, the couple revealed they hoped to maintain an amicable relationship for their children, but their divorce soon grew contentious.
Eventually, Hannah and Collin decided to live with Jon while the other children chose to stay with Kate. In 2023, all eight of the Gosselin kids had milestone graduation ceremonies with Mady and Cara graduating from their respective colleges and the sextuplets graduating from high school.

In May 2025, Kate celebrated her sextuplets' 21st birthday with a post on Instagram.
“And just like that, they turned 21! Happy Birthday to my 6! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #GosselinSextuplets,” Kate wrote in the caption. She shared photos of her with four of her children, daughters Alexis and Leah and sons Joel and Aaden, toasting each other around a restaurant. Hannah and Collin were noticeably absent.
Instead, Hannah celebrated her birthday with Jon, who posted a boomerang of him at dinner with his daughter and now-wife Stephanie Lebo. In the snapshot, Jon was seen toasting with someone who appeared to be Hannah as they sipped on cocktails with the animated graphic “Happy Birthday” added over the top.
As for Kate, she lives in North Carolina, working as a pediatric home health care nurse. In July 2025, she joined TikTok, sharing behind-the-scenes moments, and even revealed that her kids are now watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 themselves all these years later.
"Yes! My adult kids are now watching our show with their friends/bf and gfs!” she wrote in a reply to a comment. “Isn’t that cute?”
With the twins now 25 and the sextuplets 22, here is what all eight Gosselin children are up to.

Mady attended Syracuse University and graduated in 2023 with a B.A. in English textual studies, film & screen studies and a minor in art history. She occasionally documents her life on TikTok.
Two years before she left for college in 2017, Mady told PEOPLE that she had plans to be an actress. "I would love to perform in some way," she said. "And I feel like I could write some sort of memoir already."
Cara Gosselin

Cara went on to study mathematics and economics at Fordham University and graduated in May 2023. Now, she works as a leasing credit officer at Bank of America, according to her LinkedIn profile, and lives in New York City.
Unlike her twin, Cara largely keeps off social media, but she hasn't been completely out of the public eye. In 2019, she and Mady supported their mom and her show Kate Plus Date. They appeared on the new series and accompanied Kate to promotional interviews.

Since documenting her life on camera and graduating high school in 2023, Alexis — the eldest of the sextuplets — has led a quiet and private life.
In 2017, Alexis told PEOPLE of her love for animals and claimed that she was "definitely going to work with animals someday."
In 2014, the Gosselins adopted a black-capped parakeet named Zorro and Alexis grew particularly fond of him. In June 2019, Kate shared photos of her daughter and Zorro on Instagram, calling the pair "the best of friends."
Hannah Gosselin

Hannah is the second-oldest girl of the sextuplets.
Though she primarily grew up with her seven other siblings, Hannah began living full-time with her father in 2018 and later, her brother Collin. In May 2022, Hannah's friends supported her at the launch event for her beauty brand, Gosselin Girl Beauty. The vegan and cruelty-free beauty line included serums, bath bombs and cosmetic bags.
Hannah graduated from high school in June 2023 and celebrated the milestone on Instagram. Since then, she has been studying business administration at the University of Miami.
Aaden Gosselin

Aaden, the third sextuplet to be born, also lives a private life off social media.
Since graduating from high school, Aaden has been seen in his mom Kate's Instagram posts. In May 2024, in honor of her sextuplets' 20th, the mom of eight shared a photo of her children Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel celebrating the occasion with a chocolate birthday cake.
"No more teenagers in this house!" she captioned the post. "Happy 20th birthday, my forever babies! I love you! Who feels old? I know I do! #20yearsold #ItsaPICKLE 🎁🎉🎈🎊."

Collin is another of Kate and Jon's sextuplets, born on May 10, 2004.
Collin confessed that he no longer had a relationship with Kate in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2022.
Upon his high school graduation, Collin revealed he was heading to a Marine Corps recruit depot in Parris Island to begin boot camp. However, while in training camp, Kate had released a statement in response to an interview in which Collin accused her of abusing him as a child.
In her statement, Kate alleged that Collin had been admitted to a mental health facility due to his "multiple psychiatric diagnoses," including an alleged attack with a "weapon." The following month, in August 2023, he was discharged from the Marines, which he later blamed on his mother’s claims.
"It's very important because due to these allegations that she posted on social media, my dream of becoming a U.S. Marine was crushed and it was taken away from me and now I have to fight and do everything I can to fulfill that dream still," Collin told The Sun in September 2024. "It's very important to put these allegations to rest and it's important to me, for her, to come forward with the truth because I want nothing more than to serve my country."
After his discharge, Collin enrolled in Penn State and later launched a power-washing company in March 2025, per an Instagram announcement.
Later that year, Collin spoke about his estrangement from his siblings in a TikTok live video. "I don't talk to my siblings, and I very much wish that we did and that they knew who I actually was because we don't know each other at all," he said in August 2025, later clarifying he does have a relationship with Hannah.
Leah Gosselin

While Leah frequently posts on her TikTok account, she also lives a relatively private life.
After graduating high school, Leah went on to pursue higher education and posted about her first day of school in a slideshow shared to TikTok. The former reality star took her followers along her day as she shared snapshots of herself getting ready in the morning while playing Gilmore Girls in the background.
"So far college has my heart 🫶," she captioned the video.
In another video shared on the social media platform, Leah took followers on a brief dorm tour and showed off her Taylor Swift-themed decorations, her desk setup, her pink bed spread and the photos she had of loved ones posted on her walls.
"My new home 💕," Leah simply wrote alongside the post.
Joel Gosselin

Like many of his sextuplet siblings, Joel also largely keeps off social media.
Since appearing on the final season of Kate Plus 8 in 2017, Kate has shared shots of him dressing up with his siblings for Halloween, shopping for Christmas trees and, of course, celebrating his first day without braces.
According to his LinkedIn account, Joel is currently attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he's studying accounting and business management.
