Since becoming a dad, A$AP Rocky admitted he has changed the way he thinks about certain things.

During an interview with VIBE, the dad of three and rapper, 37, opened up about how becoming a devoted father has changed the way he approaches different aspects of his life. Rocky, who's a dad to daughter Rocki, 8 months, and sons Riot, 2, and RZA, 4, revealed that he rarely records at home anymore, explaining that he doesn't want his kids around smoking sessions.

Instead, the Don't Be Dumb artist uses hotels and temporary spaces whenever he gets a creative spark. “Any kind of space, like 500 square feet or more,” he told the outlet.

The couple, who have been together since 2020, welcomed their third child, daughter Rocki, on Sept. 13. Before their daughter's arrival, Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their sons RZA in 2022 and Riot in 2023.

Since starting a family with Rihanna, Rocky has also been vocal about his desire to raise open-minded kids and "not people who discriminate." He also shared his desire for his children to have normal childhoods, even though they have two very famous parents.

As for Rihanna, she wants her children to feel connected to their roots, which is why RZA and Riot have had their hair braided on several occasions.

"This is a form of protection by our ancestors…[it] makes us realize where we've come from," she told Vogue China in March 2024. "This is our lost history. I immediately wanted my children to have their hair braided…it's something in our blood."

Back in January, in an episode of The New York Times Popcast, the "Helicopter" rapper opened up about the differences he’s beginning to see between his young children.

“You know, my first son, RZA, he's just really like, he's [the] opposite of his brother, the 3-year-old and the 2-year-old. They're about 14 months apart. So, they're really close, but he's really antisocial,” he said in the Jan. 16 interview.

“And my second son is just a socialite at this point, you know?" he said of Riot. "He wants to steal the room when he comes, and he walks in it, and he's addicted to cotton candy, and… he likes… typical little kid stuff."

Then, in March, while chatting with Esquire, Rocky raved over his three children, sharing tidbits about his family life. The rapper detailed everything from how all of his kids were blessed with his looks to how RZA is a picky eater and Riot has a sweet tooth.

“Man, I miss my kids,” Rocky told the outlet. “RZA's finally starting to stick up for hisself again, because RZA used to bully the s—t out of Riot when Riot couldn’t walk and talk. Now Riot go take that boy book from him, take his pacifier.”

He also shared, “RZA don’t be talking. That’s Riot. He can’t stop running his mouth.”

Rocky went on to share a hilarious story about how his son snitched on him to Rihanna when he left the house without telling her.

“He was like, ‘Dada left. Dada left through the door,' " he recalled. "She told me, ‘You left?’ I’m like, 'Yeah, why?' She like, ‘Because our son told me you left. It’d been nice to say goodbye.’”
