After longtime friend Taylor Swift supported Lena Dunham at her wedding, the Girls creator had to return the favor.
Dunham, 40, was seen heading to Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3 alongside the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper before the couple tied the knot in front of hundreds of friends and family.
Also in attendance to celebrate the couple on their big day was Dunham's ex and Swift's longtime collaborator, Jack Antonoff, who was seen leaving for the event with his sister, Rachel Antonoff. Both Dunham and Antonoff, 42, were also seen heading, separately, to Swift and Kelce's rehearsal dinner the night prior, on July 2.

Also spotted heading to the ceremony on Friday were Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay and her husband Peter Hermann as well as Glennon Doyle and her former USWNT star wife Abby Wambach, as well as a slew of other notable names, from Hugh Grant to Machine Gun Kelly.
Swift's rep confirmed the details of the wedding to PEOPLE.
"The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry," her rep said in a statement.

Dunham and Swift have been friends for more than a decade, with Dunham calling the singer “one of my best friends in the world” in an April interview with PEOPLE. She has supported Swift time and time again, joining the Grammy winner on stage at the 1989 World Tour in 2015 and attending her Eras Tour in 2024. Dunham has also cheered on Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs game alongside Swift in December 2025.
The pop star was also a bridesmaid in Dunham's September 2021 wedding to Luis Felber.

In her new memoir Famesick, Dunham wrote a message to Swift, saying much of the book's creative process was soundtracked by her music.
“TayTay — you sing the songs I wrote this book to, the stories that pulled these stories out of me, the music that makes the whole world feel seen,” Dunham wrote. “And yet somehow, miraculously, you also pick up every desperate call at every desperate hour.”
“I love you so much and forever, for the reasons that everyone does and for reasons all my own,” Dunham added.

The global superstar and NFL tight end announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post alongside photos from their proposal on Aug. 16.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Swift wrote in the caption.
Their love story began in July 2023 when Kelce attended Swift's Eras Tour at the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium. Weeks later, Kelce revealed he tried to shoot his shot with Swift but failed.
During the July 26, 2023, episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, the athlete revealed he was “a little butthurt” he was unable to hand her a bracelet he made for her with his number on it. “I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said.
Despite this, Kelce publicly declared his interest in Swift on the podcast, and they began seeing each other shortly afterward, thanks in part to Swift's mom.
“I'm looking at the headlines perusing around on the internet, and I see that this guy came to your show and he brought a friendship bracelet and wants to meet you,” Andrea Swift recalled during episode 4 of Taylor Swift: The End of an Era. “So I called up my resident expert on the Kansas City Chiefs, my cousin Robin, and I go, ‘Tell me about this guy named Travis Kelce.' ”
