‘The Odyssey’ star visited the theme park with his wife and four daughters on Thursday, Aug. 20

Matt Damon and his family brought in daughter Gia’s 18th birthday at The Happiest Place on Earth.
The Oscar winner, 55, posed for photos in front of the Mickey Mouse pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland on Thursday, Aug. 20. Damon, along with his wife Luciana and daughters Alexia, 27, Isabella, 20, Gia, 18, and Stella, 15, visited the park ahead of its Halloween Time opening day. The family wore matching custom T-shirts to celebrate Gia’s big milestone. While Gia’s shirt featured an outline of the park’s Sleeping Beauty Castle flanked by Mickey Mouse ears and read “birthday girl,” the rest of the family’s shirts read “birthday crew.”
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort begins Aug. 21 and runs through Oct. 31, according to the park. “The season brings hauntingly fun attractions, can’t-miss entertainment, delicious fall treats and more autumn magic,” per the official description.
The Good Will Hunting star has been open about his close bond with his daughters, recently telling PEOPLE that he was grateful to have his wife and daughters at his side at the premiere of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

“It’s great because they had to sacrifice a lot too for this,” Damon said at the film’s London premiere. “I went away for a while; they came and visited, but it was a lot. It was a very long movie, very grueling shoot, and I’m really excited for my girls to see it tonight.”
He added that they were familiar with life on the road, as they notably tagged along with him to numerous international premieres of the successful film.
“We are seasoned travelers in our family, just because I work all over the world. So my kids love to travel,” Matt said in June.
As they grow up, several of the Oscar winner’s daughters have begun to forge their own paths in the entertainment world. Alexia is following in her parents’ footsteps in the film industry and is a photographer and videographer. She worked in the camera department on Matt and Ben Affleck‘s 2024 Apple TV film The Instigators.
