Early this morning, Mercury will meet with Pluto and Neptune retrograde, retracing the Sun’s steps in a rare quincunx alignment that exposes contradictions, making it harder to determine what’s true.
Mercury, for instance, prioritizes logic and details that can be verified, while Pluto uncovers what’s been hidden beneath the surface and Neptune blurs the line between intuition and projection.
As a result, it could be more difficult to concentrate today.
Later, the Sun will join forces with Mercury in Virgo for a superior conjunction, bringing an idea, conversation or plan into focus.
During a “Cazimi,” when a planet is in the heart of the sun — in this case Mercury — it becomes energized and strengthened by the sun.
Virgo is Mercury’s sign of rulership, making this conjunction especially powerful and revelatory. You might feel compelled to clear the air with someone, or have an epiphany unexpectedly.
Still, Mercury’s alignment with Venus introduces the potential conflict between getting straight to the point and keeping the peace in a relationship.
You could have actual receipts and proof of a situation and yet struggle to put the truth into words without disrupting the mood.
This, of course, is intensified by the weight of tomorrow’s lunar eclipse, already heightening our emotions.
