Guests for Jimmy Kimmel’s hometown shows will be revealed at a later date

Jimmy Kimmel is headed back to New York City.
PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will return to Brooklyn during the final week of September to continue the late-night talk show’s tradition of homecoming tapings.
Kimmel’s shows at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House kick off on Monday, Sept. 28, and conclude Friday, Oct. 2.
The special episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which will take place in front of a live studio audience at BAM, will mark Kimmel’s seventh time broadcasting from the borough.

Guests for Kimmel’s Brooklyn shows will be announced at a later date, and fans can secure tickets to the run at kimmelinbrooklyn.com.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which typically films at the El Capitan Entertainment Centre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, marked its 4,000th episode on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The episode also marked Kimmel’s return from his nearly three-month summer vacation, during which he had guests host the show. Rosie O’Donnell, Jelly Roll, Ike Barinholtz, Tiffany Haddish, Anthony Anderson, Colman Domingo all filled in during his absence.

Past Brooklyn tapings of Kimmel have included guest appearances from local legends and nearby friends, including Jay-Z, Howard Stern, Chris Rock, John Krasinski, David Letterman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tracy Morgan and Alicia Keys. Last year’s shows featured Stephen Colbert, Emily Blunt and Tom Hanks, among others.
Speaking with New York City Tourism + Conventions in 2025, Kimmel shared what Brooklyn means to him after spending his early years there.
“In Brooklyn, you grow up — at least I did — all packed together,” he said. “You learn to interact with people. You know your neighbors. Most of the time you know your neighbors too well. I haven’t seen a neighbor in L.A. in 31 years. … In Brooklyn, you learn to talk to people, which, especially if you’re a talk-show host, is good.”
