Kristen Bell is not waiting around to start her holiday shopping.
The Nobody Wants This star and mom of two is teaming up with Amazon to get a head start on her shopping list during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, which kicks off on Tuesday, October 6. Ahead of the shopping event, I spoke with Bell, who’s starring in a campaign focused on finding the perfect holiday gifts, about the essentials and go-to presents she’s stocking up on before the holiday season. “The most foolproof gifts are something that no one would ever think to ask for,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively. “You know, like basic life essentials that are elevated that the person might not even think to ask for.”

Bell told me about an instance when a friend stayed over, cleaned out her garbage disposal, and ordered her new sponges, all without any prompting. “I think about what [she] did weekly,” Bell says, adding that a “foolproof” gift if you have a household is “kitchen sponges that don’t stink.”
