Muirbrook and Sheridan first met in Los Angeles after Muirbrook hired the writer-director as an acting coach. (Sheridan was on the show Sons of Anarchy and was coaching on the side at the time.)
The pair welcomed their son, Gus, in 2010, and married in 2013.

The model previously shared that the couple lived modestly in the early days of their relationship.
“At the time, it was like, ‘Let’s just make enough to pay a mortgage or rent or food.’ We were literally starving,” Nicole told Cowgirl Magazine in 2012.
“That’s when Taylor started writing, and two years later, we were at the Oscars … I still can’t believe it,” she continued, referring to her husband’s screenplays for movies including Sicario and Hell or High Water.
The couple ultimately decided to move out of Los Angeles to raise their son.
“I didn’t want to raise my son in L.A., and I didn’t want to have to look him in the eye and tell him I couldn’t take him to a baseball game because I had an audition for a Windex commercial,” the Wind River director explained while speaking to the Austin American-Statesman in August 2017.
Sheridan also credits getting married and starting a family with his decision to pivot from acting to writing and creating his own worlds and stories — which ultimately led to his massive success in the industry.
“I think the thing that really changed my perspective on my career was getting married and having a child,” he told Cowboys & Indians in 2020. “And then, really thinking about how I am going to raise that child. And if that child is going to look up to me, what is he looking up to me for? It made me reflect on my career very deeply.”
