While season 3 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test began with 16 contestants, only some have what it takes to make it to the end of the competition.
In the reality show, which features celebrities trying their hand at tasks the real United States Special Forces must complete to become part of the military, contestants move forward by passing a series of tests — or they turn in their armband to signal their voluntary departure from the series.
While attempting assignments in Wales, England, Stephen Baldwin became the first season 3 contestant to exit the competition. The dad of Hailey Bieber successfully jumped from a speeding boat to a speeding helicopter and climbed into the helicopter — but claimed he got injured in the process.
“I smashed my meniscus on the helicopter today and my back is in knots and I can’t turn my head past there,” Baldwin said while talking with the on-duty doctor.
After Baldwin explained that he “cannot get injured” ahead of a gig he had lined up after the show, the Special Forces operatives dismissed him from the series. “No. 5, you failed this course and you failed yourself. Go,” the staff said.
