Austin Butler’s love life may have hit a low point when news broke of his split from Kaia Gerber earlier this month — three years since the pair officially went public with their romance.
On the other hand, his style status has reached literal new heights, as demonstrated on Wednesday, January 22, when luxury label Saint Laurent cast Butler, 33, to star in their new Spring 2025 campaign, replete with a video of him dressed to the nines in a three-piece suit.
In the short film, Butler dons a dapper tan blazer with a pinstriped button-down shirt and a dark teal tie, while gazing out at the Manhattan skyline from the window of swanky corner office befitting the real-life Saint Laurent man about town, as he’s regularly dressed in the designer.
This collaboration further solidifies Butler’s status as a style icon and reinforces Saint Laurent’s reputation for selecting influential figures to represent its brand on the red carpet and beyond.
Together, the imagery of the campaign visuals and accompanying video evoke a sense of timeless elegance and modern masculinity, aligning with the house’s founder, Yves Saint Laurent himself, whose boxy strong-shouldered suits inspired the new season styles seen here.
This isn’t the actor’s first foray into the world of Saint Laurent. He previously served as the global ambassador for YSL Beauty’s MYSLF men’s fragrance, a role that further cemented his connection with the brand. Outside of official campaigns, Butler has consistently chosen Saint Laurent for high-profile appearances, including the 2023 Academy Awards and the subsequent Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where he donned not two full looks each woven with the house’s suave style codes.
