Blake Lively is staying focused on her family amid her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
“Blake is surprisingly calm and just tries to focus on family life,” a source close to Lively tells PEOPLE.
“She’s in constant contact with her team. She sees the whole lawsuit drama as a necessary bump, but she’s not letting it take away from her main focus, which is her children,” the insider says.
Lively, 37, filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni, 41, in December for his alleged misconduct behind the scenes of their romantic drama It Ends with Us.
She claimed that Baldoni — who directed, produced and starred in the film — exhibited “disturbing” and “unprofessional” behavior on set that led to a “hostile work environment.” Lively also alleged Baldoni carried out a retaliatory public smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation.
She is seeking unspecified damages for “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and “interference” in her businesses, including Blake Brown haircare company, per the filing.
Baldoni later filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 48, alleging defamation and extortion. Baldoni’s team also sued The New York Times over an article reporting on Lively’s complaint.
On Monday, Feb. 3, attorneys from both sides appeared at a pre-trial conference, which hashed out Lively’s prospective request for a gag order.
Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman, who also represents It Ends With Us producers Jamey Heath and Steve Sarowitz, their production company Wayfarer Studios and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel, said Baldoni is emotionally and financially “devastated” by the legal battle.
Freedman added, “Not to sound like a 4-year-old fighting a 4-year-old with ‘they started it,’ but in these kinds of cases, once someone says something it becomes fact: There’s no way to fight against it.”

New York Judge Lewis Liman later ordered both sides to refrain from making public statements that could sway the jury.
The judge’s order came after Baldoni’s attorneys leaked video footage from the It Ends With Us set to the press and launched a website, thelawsuitinfo.com, linking to his legal documents.
Lively’s attorneys, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, said they were “pleased” with the judge’s ruling.
A trial for both of their cases is scheduled to begin on March 9, 2026.
