Christina Haack has remained on great terms with Tarek El Moussa‘s mother despite the former couple’s split.
During the newest episode of The Flip Off, which aired on Wednesday, February 5, Tarek, 43, and wife Heather El Moussa chose which room they would upgrade in their individual homes while Christina, 41, got to choose the judge. Christina decided to bring in not only her mom — but Tarek’s, as well.
“No, she definitely won’t [side with him]. We have a very good relationship,” Christina noted before joking, “She even told me not to marry him and to marry the dog. For real.”
Christina had confidence in Tarek’s mother being impartial.
“I have a long history with Tarek’s mom. She has traveled with me post-divorce with Tarek, me and the children,” Christina, who shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, with Tarek, added. “We talk on the phone. I definitely feel like I’m her favorite.”
Before The Flip Off, Christina and Tarek got their start on Flip or Flop. They worked on the show together during their marriage — which lasted from 2009 to 2018 — and after their divorce was finalized. Christina subsequently found love with Ant Anstead and they got married in 2018 before welcoming their son, Hudson, one year later.
Christina and Ant, 45, worked together on Christina on the Coast before their relationship fizzled out. Following her divorce from Ant, Christina moved on with Josh Hall and they filmed less than one episode of The Flip Off together before their split. Christina filed for divorce in July 2024 and has since been linked to Christopher LaRocca.
“It’s much easier to film with someone when you don’t have to go home with them. It’s not usually a good idea to film with a spouse,” Christina exclusively told Us Weekly in a cover story last month about remaining on the show with Tarek and Heather, 37, despite her split. “Josh was very hard to film with. He didn’t get it.”

She continued: “He’d always get upset with me, like ‘Oh, my gosh, you did this’ or ‘You did that.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m making a TV show.’ Ultimately, it was better that he left after episode one because the show would’ve sucked.”
Christina said she had “zero concerns” when it came to working with Tarek.
“Tarek and I have been fine more than we have not been,” she told Us, to which Tarek added, “The last couple of years we’ve been in a really good place. It took us almost 10 years to get there, so going back into shooting together, it’s a lot more of an intimate relationship. There were some reservations. But as the show has gone on, we’ve realized it’s just business.”
