Did Lil Wayne Announce Tha Carter 6 in Cetaphil’s 2025 Super Bowl Ad After Halftime Show Drama?

Lil Wayne is still a “Lil Sensitive” about the 2025 Super Bowl.

The “Bedrock” rapper, 42, is the official star of an all-new Cetaphil commercial, which sees him sitting in a music studio being told by someone in a suit that they are going in “a different direction this time,” thus parting ways with the five-time Grammy winner.

The ad is seemingly a reference to him previously expressing his “hurt” with not being asked to be the halftime performer in his hometown this year.

“Can’t change the sensitive situation? At least you can soothe your sensitive skin,” a description reads on YouTube.

Instead of being sad, Wayne decides to help others achieve the skin of their dreams — even if it is a “Lil Sensitive.”

His first mission comes as a football fan is introducing her boyfriend to her dad for the first time at their home.

As “Mike” reaches to shake the hand of his date’s dad, he somehow drops his wallet. Her father picks it up for him, but is disappointed to see what appears to be a condom imprint, making for an extremely awkward moment in front of the family.

“Damn, that’s sensitive,” Lil Wayne says, appearing from their staircase. He hands the embarrassed daughter some Cetaphil for the situation, and she immediately rubs it all over her face.

The “Mrs. Officer” hitmaker also comes to the rescue of a woman who was just rejected by her date on a kiss cam jumbotron while at a sporting event.

“Damn, they left you high and dry,” Lil Wayne said in another scene while handing Cetaphil to someone who got ditched by his friends when the check came during a night out.

“We’re all a Lil Sensitive,” the Young Money founder adds while smiling at the camera.

Before the commercial wraps, Lil Wayne is back in the music studio.

“DO NOT DISTURB ‘TIL 06-06-25” with “CARTER VI” underneath as a door closes.

The commercial comes amid headline-making debates since Kendrick Lamar was announced as the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime show headliner in New Orleans.

“First of all, I wanna say forgive me for the delay,” Wayne began in an emotional Sept. 13 Instagram video. “I had to get strength enough to do this without breaking.”

“It hurt a whole lot,” he continued. “I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown and for automatically mentally putting myself in that position like somebody told me that was my position.”

The post briefly caused friction between the two rappers, but Lil Wayne later said he and Lamar, 37, had talked it out: “I’ve spoken to him and I wished him all the best.”

The New Orleans native has since stated he will not be attending the 2025 Super Bowl, however; a regional Cetaphil TV ad will air exclusively in his city during the big game.
