Former Bachelorette star Jordan Kimball is not shocked that the show is taking a bit of a hiatus.
“I know that they did a production change,” Kimball, 33, told Us Weekly exclusively while attending Supermodels Unlimited Magazine presents The Limitless Show on Saturday, February 8, during New York Fashion Week. “From what I’m hearing from folks that have been on more recently, obviously, Bachelor in Paradise was skipped last summer. It sounds like they’ve tried to make this more mainstream.”
Kimball noted that because The Bachelor franchise is “a show where multiple people are dating the same person,” making it mainstream is “hard” — at least in his opinion.
“I think that it’s not coming back because they may be having a hard time casting,” he speculated. “That would be my guess.”

“It does sound like there was a production change, and that could have caused [the pause],” he said, noting that the show’s producers “were great” when he was on the show. “I enjoyed working with them. So, I hope that the direction that they’re going, I hope that they land on that and hit their mark.”
Kimball added, “I wish the show the best of luck. It did wonders for me and has changed my life. I’m incredibly thankful.”
On Friday, February 7, Us Weekly confirmed ABC hit pause on the reality dating show.. The network didn’t cancel the series and the option of bringing it back has not yet been ruled out. Further details about the show’s hiatus are currently unclear.
This comes after Jenn Tran’s Bachelorette season, the show’s 21st, came to an end with major drama in September 2024.
Kimball, for his part, made his Bachelor Nation debut during Becca Kufrin’s Bachelorette season in 2018. After being eliminated, he tried his luck at love during Bachelor in Paradise seasons 5 and 6, which aired in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
