Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil‘s love life has had nearly as many twists and turns as his heavy metal band’s infamously rocky career.
Neil, real name Vincent Neil Wharton, was already a father of a young son before Motley Crue released its groundbreaking glam metal debut album Too Fast for Love in 1981, and he’d go on to marry four times over the next two decades. In between those marriages, Neil was linked to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars of the 1990s, including Cameron Diaz and Tori Spelling. Neil’s life was later rocked by tragedy in 1995 when his 4-year-old daughter Skylar Lynnae Neil, from his marriage to mud wrestler and model Sharise Ruddell, tragically died from a rare form of childhood cancer.
The Motley Crue frontman has been with current girlfriend, celebrity makeup artist and beauty influencer Rain Andreani (also known as Rain Hannah), since 2014. In February 2025, Andreani suffered five broken ribs when Neil’s private plane crashed in Scottsdale, Arizona, killing the pilot and injuring four others. Neil said in a statement posted via his band’s Instagram account that he was “grateful for the critical aid of all first responders” and vowed that Motley Crue would announce “a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot” soon.

Tami Jones
Neil and his high school sweetheart Tami Jones welcomed their first child, Neil Jason Wharton, on October 3, 1978. While Neil and Jones split by the early 1980s, his son later formed a Motley Crue-inspired band called Rock ‘N’ Roll Junkies to play a series of charity concerts in the early 2000s.
Wharton, 47, told Rolling Stone in 2005 that his group played with the same “raw energy” of Motley Crue, but he didn’t expect Rock ‘N’ Roll Junkies to open for his dad on Motley Crue’s arena tours.
“I don’t think that would be a good idea,” Wharton admitted. “I mean, we’d play the parking lot as a warm-up but let the fans see the real thing inside, with some killer openers.”

Beth Lynn
Neil married his first wife, Beth Lynn, in 1981 and they had a daughter, named Elizabeth Ashley Wharton, in October 1983. His first marriage ended in divorce in 1985.
As an adult, Elizabeth pursued a career in music as the one-time bassist for California indie rock band Loomis and the Lust. She married the band’s frontman Will Loomis in 2014.
Sharise Ruddell
Neil wed his second wife, mud wrestler and model Sharise Ruddell, in April 1987, with their daughter Skylar Lynnae Neil being born March 26, 1991. The couple divorced in 1993.
Skylar was diagnosed with a Wilms’ tumor, a rare form of kidney cancer affecting children, in April 1995 and tragically died only four months later at age 4.
Neil released the track “Skylar’s Song” from his 1995 solo album Carved in Stone in her honor and subsequently founded the Skylar Neil Memorial Fund to raise awareness and money for childhood illnesses.
The Motley Crue singer reflected on his daughter’s death in an essay for People, in which he recounted arriving at Skylar’s bedside “10 minutes after [she]’ died” on August 15, 1995.
“I told myself that at least she wasn’t in pain anymore, but I’ve never experienced anything as sad as being in that room,” he reflected in 1995. “On Aug. 18, Skylar was buried in a tiny pink casket. At the service, we celebrated her life.”
Neil went on: “Sometimes I think Skylar is still here, and I think I’m insane. But my therapist says that’s normal. It’s part of letting go and the healing process. If you’ve never gone through this, it’s hard to know what you’re supposed to feel. I think of Skylar every day. I know someday the loss won’t hurt as much as it does now. But I loved Skylar very much, and that will never go away.”
Celebrity Romances
Neil was linked to numerous celebrities following his split from Ruddell, including then-Beverly Hills, 90210 stars Spelling and Shannon Doherty, General Hospital actress Vanessa Marcil and Diaz in the early 1990s. Each of the rumored romances were reportedly brief.
Heidi Mark
Neil was set up on a blind date with Playboy Playmate Heidi Mark in 1993, and the couple got engaged two months later.
The pair eventually married in 2000 but split only 15 months later. Mark filed for divorce in 2001, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the separation.
Mark told the New York Post at the time that there were very early signs that their marriage was never going to work out.
“It was a perfectly bad setup from the get-go,” she insisted. “Young girl, Florida, Playboy Mansion, rock star. He was completely predatory, hunting me down.”
Neil denied all accusations surrounding his split from Mark.
Lia Gerardini
Neil tied the knot with his fourth wife, Lia Gerardini, in January 2005 in a ceremony officiated by his Surreal Life costar MC Hammer. They’d dated since the early 2000s.
When the couple split in 2010, Neil told New York Magazine that he’d simply “drift[ed] apart” from Gerardini in the final few years of their marriage.
“You know, we’d been together for ten years. It was a long time,” he acknowledged, adding: “All of a sudden you feel like you’re roommates, you’re not husband and wife anymore.”
Alicia Jacobs
Neil dated the Las Vegas TV reporter for seven months, but they announced their split in March 2011. That wasn’t the end of their story. The rock legend pleaded guilty and accepted a $1,000 fine in a Nevada court for a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend in a Las Vegas casino lounge. A more serious misdemeanor charge of battery constituting domestic violence was dismissed by a Justice of the Peace.
Neil had originally faced up to one year in prison and a $2,000 fine if he had been convicted of both charges. Through his attorney Richard Schonfeld, Neil accepted responsibility for verbally assaulting and pointing at Jacobs during their argument, but he denied any acts of physical violence.
Rain Andreani
Neil has been in a long-term relationship with celebrity makeup artist and beauty influencer Andreani since 2011. The couple featured on a 2015 episode of ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap, where Neil and Andreani switched partners with musician Gunnar Nelson and his wife, Lila.
Andreani was at the rock star’s side for the 2019 red carpet premiere of Netflix’s The Dirt, a Motley Crue biopic in which The Punisher star Daniel Webber played Neil.
On Valentine’s Day in 2024, Neil posted a romantic picture of the couple kissing via Instagram, along with the caption: “You’re perfect @rainhannah_ How did I get so lucky? I love you my valentine.”
On Monday, February 10, Neil confirmed in a statement posted via Motley Crue’s Instagram account that Andreani had suffered five broken ribs when his private plane collided with a parked jet on the Scottsdale Municipal Airport runway in Arizona.
Neil was not on board his plane at the time of the crash, which occurred as Andreani was arriving in Scottsdale from Austin, Texas. A pilot died as a result of the collision and several others were injured.
“More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation. Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today,” Neil’s statement read.
