My $34 Jacket Is the Ideal Transitional Layer, and It’s Already a Sellout Risk Ahead of Spring

If there is one part of my day that follows a firm routine, it’s my mornings. Without fail, I wake up, make my bed, and take my dog for a walk before doing anything else. Maintaining this strict schedule is only possible because I have a go-to outfit formula that I follow each day without second thought. During the colder months, that uniform relies on a lightweight jacket to keep me comfortable on chilly LA mornings.

As the weather has started to warm up, even my lightest puffer coats are now too heavy for between-season styling. That’s why I was so excited to try out this $34 scuba jacket from Walmart’s exclusive Scoop clothing line, which features a unique design, soft material, and roomy fit to wear over sweaters and sweatshirts.

When picking out the jacket, I was hoping it would be a transitional piece that would carry me through spring. After the first wear, I noticed the stretchy scuba material of this jacket offers just enough warmth, while the boxy style allows for airflow to ensure I’m not too hot either. The hood on the jacket adds to the versatility, since it can be buttoned up in colder weather to protect my neck and face or left open to keep me cool.

Not only is the jacket comfortable, but the structured design always makes me look put-together even when I’m quickly running out of the house. It has barrel sleeves that are wide enough for me to layer over even a heavy sweater on cold days, and the elastic waistband tightens at the bottom to give a cinched look if desired.

While it’s been my go-to piece for morning walks, I love that the stylish design also gives me an elevated look when worn with jeans or leggings for casual errands throughout the day. Multiple shoppers agree, including one who said they love how soft and comfortable the jacket is while looking so high-end. Another customer noted the durable and insulating material, adding that they plan to wear it while running errands or to brunch with their friends.

The best-selling Scoop Scuba Jacket currently comes in black and gray, but sizes are already selling out quickly. Snag this transitional staple while it’s still in stock for spring styling, and shop similar options at Walmart below.
