Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell flaunted their decades-long romance at the 2025 Oscars.
The Death Becomes Her actress, 79, and the Miracle actor, 73, attended the Sunday, March 2, awards show at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Hawn dazzled in a strapless gold floor-length gown with rhinestone embellishments. For footwear, Hawn donned Manolo Blahnik custom dyed Carolyne satin slingback pumps She completed the look with a matching shawl. Russell looked dashing in a classic tux.
Hawn and Russell’s appearance is not surprising — the actress is scheduled to present during the ceremony. Hawn previously won a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award in 1970 for her role as Toni Simmons in the screwball comedy Cactus Flower. She was also nominated for best actress in 1981 for her portrayal of Judy Benjamin in the comedy Private Benjamin.
Hawn and Russell have one of the most enduring relationships in Hollywood. The couple met while filming The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band in 1967 and reconnected on the set of their 1984 movie, Swing Shift. They have been together since February 1983 and share son Wyatt, 38. (Their blended family also includes Oliver and Kate Hudson, whom Hawn welcomed with ex-husband Bill Hudson, and Russell’s son Boston with ex-wife Season Hubley.)
In September 2024, Russell opened up exclusively to Us Weekly about the so-called “secret” to his and Hawn’s romance.
“I am the last person in the world to think I should give advice to anybody,” he told Us at the time. “It’s just a day to day.”
Although Russell and Hawn have made headlines over the years for their decision to never marry one another, their foundation is solid.
“She is always my priority. We’re ‘of the moment’ people,” he continued. “We just kind of say, ‘What do you feel like? What do you want to do? Do you want to watch something?’”

Russell added, “Obviously, our lives revolve around our grandkids and our children, and their lives and what’s going on with them, and there’s a lot going on. We do have a lot of fun.”
Hawn, meanwhile, shared her own perspective on the key to her relationship with Russell, telling E! News in September 2024, “You have to have good sex.”
“Sex is something that connects you and creates more belonging,” she elaborated. “People who have healthy sexual relationships usually last a lot longer.”

Hawn noted that “the warmth and the intimacy” that sex “creates” can lead to a long-term romance before joking, “You have to be nice to each other upon occasion.”
As for potential conflicts, Hawn emphasized the importance of knowing “you’re not the same person” in order to make things work.
“You don’t think the same oftentimes,” she said. “And you have to accept that, but you have to measure: ‘Are we having fun, or is this something we want to do? Do we have laughs together? Do we share certain things?’ You don’t have to share everything. We have a lot of expectations, I think, around relationships, but you have to like the person. That’s very important.”
