Chrishell Stause is mourning the loss of her rescue pup.
The Selling Sunset star, 43, announced that her pet pooch Gracie had died in an emotional post on Instagram on Monday, March 17.
Alongside a carousel of sweet images and clips of Gracie, Stause wrote, “Our beloved Gracie left us peacefully today. Thank you to anyone that was a friend to her and helped make her life here better. It’s impossible to post a fraction of the joy this angel brought me.”
The post featured photos of Gracie snoozing and spending quality time with Stause, as well as a selfie of the duo posing with Stause’s partner, Australian musician G Flip. The final snap in the carousel also showed two mugs printed with photos of Stause and G Flip being held up.
Gracie regularly featured on Selling Sunset, and the first image of the carousel showed a screenshot of Stause snuggling up to her dog during a confessional on the Netflix series.
In the rest of her caption, Stause went on to share that Gracie was adopted from the Burbank Animal Shelter “and for the next week, if you tell them Gracie’s name, all adoption fees will be covered. ♥️.”
“😢😢😢oh Chrishell I’m so sorry to hear this. You are the best dog mama ❤️ love you,” wrote Stause’s former Selling Sunset costar Heather Rae El Moussa, while her Traitors costar Ciara Miller added, “Sweet Gracie ❤️ I’m so sorry.”
In a follow-up post on her Instagram Stories, Stause went on to thank everyone for their messages following Gracie’s death.
“I’m reading all the message and texts coming in,” she penned. “They really do feel like receiving a much needed hug. But don’t have the energy to respond right now. But truly thank you ❤️.”
In an instagram post in January 2023, Stause shared that she adopted Gracie when she was 6 and she is a terrier mix.

She also revealed during a 2021 interview for PETA’s campaign promoting pet adoption that she adopted Gracie in 2016 as she urged others to consider welcoming a rescue dog into their lives instead of buying a pooch from a breeder.
“The dog that will be your best friend, that will change your life, that will be your life companion, is sitting there waiting for you,” she shared, noting that “there are already too many dogs that don’t have homes.”
